There is a scene in this game where a character is put into a dream, and then informed that they are in the future. The character sees footage that includes the Twin Towers and says "this isn't the future". Four and a half stars.

Not great by any stretch, but I think I somehow got Stockholm syndromed into liking it? If that's even possible? It's really strange, if you like modern Persona, you probably won't like this game. If you're a hardcore RPG guy, you probably won't like this game either. It's such a weird, paradoxical game yet I still had some fun playing it. If there is one thing I can say for certain, is that this is the version you should play instead of the PS1 version.

Have a buddy that always wanted to play this shit. Fuck you Mason, this should not be your go to for "after school fun"

What if you wanted to play Osu, but didn't want to give off "groomer vibes"?

The actual puzzle-action gameplay is very well done, it's nice to see a long running franchise like this in hd with upscaled art. Everything else about it is terrible.

The story mode comes and goes like a dad buying cigarettes, unlocking characters is absolutely cryptic and tedious without a guide, and the board game mode... holy shit the board game mode. A buggy rng-laden mess that makes even the most masochistic of gamers beg to stop. The game will glitch and your turn will just be skipped randomly, there's little to no explanation on nay of the deeper mechanics, the enemy can just randomly decide to warp you back to the start whenever it feels like, etc. It's just unnecessarily cruel.

The game isn't even finished either, there's a dlc roadmap, but I can't imagine people would be waiting months on end with this game just for additional characters. If there were bug fixes, then I could see myself coming back to this. Also forgot to mention, online multiplayer is surprisingly functional, and fun... but local multiplayer is literally glitched out and IMPOSSIBLE to do (idk if this is only for the switch version, but still that is just an embarrassing error).

In conclusion, you may be better off with the earlier Magical Drop games. this game needs an update like the Dalai Lama needs therapy, and I want Empress to do things to me.

To the Joker, this game is just Sonic Normalcy

Fun fact about this game; play it

One of the most original games out there. Sure you can label this as a "puzzle game", but there truly is so much more to it.

The stuff that was added to the full body though kinda irritated me with how obvious it felt. It also distracted from one of the main plot points, so if you have the option maybe play the original. Atlus will never learn.

This is a baby game for babies. Until the last level which has instant death traps everywhere, turning it into a manly man's game for men. Still fun though.

1991

Yoshi be like when swallowing the physical manifestation of a deceased spirit:
"mmmm, yummy yummy yums in my tummy tum tums!" beeeeellchh BRAAAAAAPPP "Oopsie! Was that me?"

And I for one am not gonna let it slide.

The first like 2/3's of this game are fucking awesome. Great graphics, great soundtrack, awesome moves compared to the first Shinobi game, it's just an awesome time that makes you forget you're playing a Genesis game. The latter part of the game though it starts to fall into some design pitfalls that I feel hold back a lot of similar games from this era. Overall, pretty great especially if you like older platformers. It made me really wanna check out some of the more modern entries.

I changed my mind, this game is for morons. I will literally be the only one on the team with a positive K/D, any semblance of objective time, and these fucking maroons still have the gall to say "tank diff". Every time they speak into the mic I can literally hear them mouth-breathing and drooling across their neckbeards. Only absolute negative IQ ingrates play this game, and that's not even mentioning the myriad of problems this game has with balance, matchmaking, glitches, etcetera.

In short, this game is played by fucking ninnies and solo tank was a mistake.

This game makes me wanna 3D Blast the strong part of my head against Sonics weird apostrophe shaped nose

Playing this game was me enthusiastically saying "Oh, I get it!" and then immediately giving out a disgruntled "Oh, I get it..."
