It is not often that I'll play a game that captivates me this much, to the point where it makes me consciously give up on sleep just so that I can get more of it, and it is not often that I'll play a game that I'm genuinely sad to have finished, because I'll never get to experience it blindly ever again.
Everything in this game from the soundtrack to the art style to the RPG elements to the narrative design and themes work together to an impressively cohesive degree, delivering a story that is entertaining, enthralling, funny, and tragic, all at the same time.
Pentiment is visually striking, beautiful, captivating, and extremely well-written and well-designed. If it wasn't for the third act dragging a little bit, it would've been a perfect 10.

Quirky, tried to reach for more, but it's as deep as a braille paper.
Couldn't develop a connection with any of the characters, the game really was hurt from not having voice acting or more animations, a character could be talking about a serious topic and all you'd see is a standing model with a blank face.
Some needless platforming was involved, and general padding. Some of the music was nice tho.
I'm so mad that I thought NITW was different and not just another quirky indie walking-sim (as much as I hate that genre definition) but I was wrong

As someone who was only filled in on some details from the original, FF7 remake was my first direct interaction with the franchise. yet it left a strong impression.
It could've been much more if not for some really weird pacing and difficulty spikes. Some polishing blemishes were there but it wasn't an issue. If there's places where the game fully delivers, it would be a great cast and a killer ost.
Also.... Honeybee inn.

As a fan of the franchise another addition was quite welcome, despite some issues i had during my experience.
The open world formula doesn't settle so comfortably with the experience, some levels felt like a drag while others - usually the more on-rail ones - felt like continuations of the classic Metro feel.
Story wise it's a solid sequel, not last light story good but still. The ending(s) feel satisfying.
