A giant mess, the platonic ideal of a bad western RPG. It's fun only when you decide what fun is forcefully or by accident, never on its own merits. Don't even attempt to roleplay seriously in this game. Also the combat is terribly designed.

There are some really fun gameplay elements but I should've known better than to play a Bethesda game with an RPG mindset. Almost made me quit at some point. Also Valentine deserves a better game to be in.

Fun but not anything to think about for a long time. I can't figure out if the game is a parody of the "corporation with a fake smile" idea or its representation.

This game represents everything that RPGs should strive to be. It simply understands itself and its genre so well and touches upon a very deep and profound kind of melancholy that dominates the world, and then gives it a very hopeful spin.

2018

Great game design with enough depth to satisfy me and other numberheads but also simple enough to attract general audience. While not the focus, the writing is fun and the characters are charming.

Similarly to its predecessor, you need to ignore the faults coming from its age or poor design decisions. Fallout 2 does everything the first Fallout does well and adds a bit more, continuing to be a chilling RPG classic.

We do not need to talk about the obvious faults caused by the game's age, Fallout is a cult classic. It sparked so many good design ideas in western RPGs and is one of my first instapicks for fans of RPGs to try out.

OneShot understands well how to make use of games as a narrative medium, and on top of that utilizes meta mechanics better than any other game I know. And if that wasn't enough, it uses them for its already extremely charming narrative's advantage and elevates itself to a level of a masterpiece. Marvelous and touching experience, definitvely will stay in my heart until the end. Obligatory note that I love Niko, they're my whole world.

Not just a fun and challenging platformer but also a great story about exploring your mental problems. A must play for every fan of indie games.

Ignore anyone who criticizes the jank. As long as you can see past it, you'll find one of the most enjoyable RPGs you have ever played, great continuation of original Fallout worldbuilding as well as a great game on its own.

Exciting open exploration with mystery pulling you further and further, and on top of that one of the most heartfelt sentiments in gaming. An ode to curiosity, courage and kindness. Be sure to check out the DLC too!

One of the best spiritual experiences. Harrowing, true and fascinating in each of its aspects within a realistic ecosystem. Ready to make you question your own existence and beliefs as well as pay attention to the way we behave. I can't praise this game enough.

So far it has the potential to become one of my favourite stories with interesting concepts being developed and Toby's gamedev skills visibly being honed further and further.

An absolutely fantastic game, a monument to human genuity and love. Maybe not the best game ever made, certainly not technically speaking, but definitively my most treasured gaming experience.
