A great culmination to the trilogy that combines some of its best features and gives a satisfying closure, regardless of how you decide to interpret the series' themes.

While many things hold it back, it's still at its core a very much fun and important contribution to the series, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

While not the first of its genre, first of the series, and while its second half (except for the DLC) leaves a lot to be desired, it's still unique, fun and interesting for many reasons.

I have to admit, its contributions as an inspiration to other games elevate it much further than its own qualities. But nevertheless, Earthbound is a really fun and charming game that holds important sentiments.

Surreal and great, there will literally never be anything like it ever again. A chilling atmosphere and impact that you can't not appreciate. Just, y'know, ignore the awfulness of combat, it's not really the point here.

Look, you can't hate minecraft. Even if you launch it just to never revisit a savefile after a few hours, you still have to appreciate it for what it is.

An excellent retelling of the original story, at least so far. While I have qualms with some decisions, it still remains true to the essence of the first game and lives up to its name, just a bit differently. While it's much more approachable, I definitely recommend playing the first game prior.

A masterpiece revolutionizing games as an art form. Harsh and frustrating - I wouldn't have it any other way. An excellent narrative that you could write millions of essays about. Makes you think about and question so many things.

A classic in the world of CRPGs. While the typical old-timey jank and lack of understanding of some design elements holds it back, it still holds up as one of the best written games to date.

Not anything deep, but a fun timekiller with a specific charm that I can't not associate with a good friend of mine.

Tons of improvements from the first game. But at the same time it kind of loses its vision at times, like with needless focus on combat or bosses. I had to admit that it emotionally surprised me at some points, which I admire, in a way.

Baby's first metroidvania that is not really a metroidvania. The narrative is very... Childish? But the atmosphere and gameplay are respectively charming and fun. I wish it had better pacing though.

This is a modern masterpiece and the best game I can recommend to the mainstream audience. It's charming, well designed, intriguing, touching, challenging, pretty much everything it needs to be. Please do not put it down after an hour, like I've seen many do.

One of the most heartfelt and understanding stories in video games as a medium. While you might find it tedious at some points, it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. It touches upon each of its aspects with an utmost sense of sensitivity and a colourful pallete of flavour while switching between moods effortlessly. Among the best games labelled horror that you can find, mostly because it's not "carried" by that genre and approaches it with subtlety.

I was trying to be patient and excited about this game, but besides musical bangers and fun battles, it had very little to offer. It wears its inspirations on its sleeves in a bad way and fails to engage you in ways it wants. It's like the bond the authors wanted you to have with this game existed only between them during its development.
