Transcendental and mystical. Relaxing and therapeutic. Took me by surprise and I loved every second of the pensive ascension.

Incredibly underrated game. Story is serviceable but forgettable. The Xenomorph is genuinely one of the most chilling adversaries ever included in a game. The systems it uses to hunt you down are ingenious and actually terrifying. Brilliant horror.

David Cage’s best work but that isn’t saying much really. Performances are a highlight and save a lot of the stupidness that is present. Societal issues are dreadfully handled and seem quite ham-fisted. A lot of the obstacles the characters face are artificially introduced and seem forced. Harmless fun if you don’t think about it too much. Unfortunately, I thought about it too much.

Such a unique dystopia with a very charming art style that will ultimately be timeless. Music is excellent. Gameplay eventually becomes a bit tedious and suffers from somewhat clunky controls. Activities are a bit repetitive. Tailing missions :(

Control has such brilliant personality. It is full of charm and charisma, wears its inspirations on its sleeve but isn’t a copy of them. Captivating lore and gorgeous environments. Incredible action gameplay. Some of the coolest moments ever. Remedy flexing their muscles.

I cannot put this game into words. Absolutely captivating, haunting, and mind bending. Made me question everything. High octane gameplay which is astounding to behold. Perfectly marries the rogue-like genre with a progressing story. There is one moment that may be one of the greatest subversions/twists in gaming ever, seriously. Will never forget it. We need more games like Returnal.

Beautifully harrowing. Gorgeously Traumatising. Expect to have your heart broken and still utterly love the game.

Cleverly capitalises on the innate human desire to snoop through other people’s lives. Writing and voice acting is genuinely really great, elevates the plot. Character animations and designs can occasionally look a little bit stiff or clunky. Art style is simple and stylistic. Enticing mystery and fun puzzles.

Gameplay is perfection. Genuine perfection. Art is simple and allows for higher clarity within the levels. Made me want to go fast and beat my times and I don’t usually care about stuff like that. Characters are initially very grating until the story unveils itself. Ends up being not too bad but is definitely not the highlight.

Terrifying. Horrific. Traumatising. Sickening. Blood-curdling. Vile. Incredible. Excellent.

One of the most beautifully human fables I’ve ever experienced. Perfect writing and pacing. Gripping, heart wrenching and inspiring. An incredible tale of the human existence. Gameplay is fine, it’s not meant to be the focal point.

So varied and joyfully fun. We smashed it my love <3

Unexpectedly one of my favourite souls games. So so unique and expertly crafted. Bloodborne vibes. Amazing gameplay and a more directly told story that I didn’t realise I’d love so much.

A virtual theme park of horror. Different attractions linked together by a central hub. Story is tied nicely to the events of RE7. Some of the best horror experiences and action horror gameplay horror ever. So varied but some thematic issues arise from this variety. Funny big lady.

My favourite persona story and setting. Small town vibes and friendship group is immaculate. The only persona game where the characters feel like they’re friends with each other and not just the protagonist. Music is superb as usual. Mystery is thrilling with a great payoff, some pacing issues here and there. Occasional problematic subject matter.
