It says it’s free but you have to pay $1 to make it bearable. That said, its way more competent and playable than its predecessor. If bad games speak to your heart then this game is actually worth imo. If you can beat it without the god bat then you are a stronger gamer than I.

Ran this through just because it's the last numbered entry I haven't played. Really not good, but could be WAY worse (X6). Controls are a little questionable, movement is clunky and sometimes buggy, level design is ass... I could go on. Saving grace for a playthrough is that the lives are basically meaningless. The game isn't usually that hard but there are some bullshit parts. I never liked saving reploids in stages and it's fully fledged in this game. I decided to save myself the hassle of getting them all.

This feels like an earnest attempt at something new from a team that wasn't fully up to the task. I'll take this any day over X6 which is an affront to game design as a whole.

A good fun Mario game. I wish I could say it was the 5 star experience many others are saying, but It didn't really blow my mind. There's a lot of creativity on display here but unfortunately it feels like it's spread too thin. The wonder flowers are usually pretty neat but never insane and they repeat a few times. I like the badge system but they have to try really hard to convince you to try different ones. I probably would've used the float cap the whole game if I hadn't decided the whip was just more fun. The final reward badge is funny and I think it's a good reward.

I like the new variety of never before seen enemies in the game. The boss fights are all pretty lame, but Mario boss fights are never good. Even so, the final boss was kind of a letdown.

It's kinda fucked up that there's a big selection of characters and half of them are boo boo baby mode. One of my friends wanted to play as Yoshi, but that meant half the challenge and no powerups. No powerups meant they couldn't get certain coins.

The talking flowers were extremely pointless.

Played 3D world years ago, but I just finished the Bowser's Fury part. It's fun! As a small, standalone Mario game I think it's great. I think its the perfect length considering it's mostly just reuse of 3D world mechanics and assets. Music goes crazy. Going for 100% can get kinda annoying when you have to wait for bowser to go mad mode.

I only played a little bit of 3D world since I played it on release ages ago. I always liked the game and nearly got 100% (I think I fell off at the very last level lol). Having to get top of the flag with every characters is super wack unless you got friends who are willing to run it with you.

Overall I think this game is worth, especially if you haven't played 3D world yet.

Short and cool which is a pretty banger combo. I got a little annoyed by the controls in places. I also struggled a little bit to learn the game's "language" which is a skill issue but was annoying nonetheless.

DLC was just a few more levels of similar content to the main game. It was fine, although I didn't care for the second part with the gnomes.

Played as a formality to understand Lies Of Penguin lore.

The idea of playing shitty games is usually way better than actually playing shitty games. There is no better example than this game. While there's a lot of enjoyment to get out of it being totally batshit crazy, it is straight up non-functional. From what I can tell the game is broken and cannot be completed. Bugs appear in the current version that don't seem to appear in the (very) few gameplay videos I could find. Seriously doubting there is any intent to fix it.

It earns an extra half star for making me laugh, but this game should NEVER be purchased full price if at all. It goes on sale for $0.50 if you are morbidly curious.

I had a pretty good time playing this game actually. I was unsure how I would feel about it before getting started since these types of games aren't usually my jam. It's not as hardcore as I thought, at least on normal mode. I think the difficulty for me as an inexperienced player was good until the last map which, while possible, felt really sudden.

I don't think very highly of the random stat gains. I understand that it adds a bit of variance but I dislike the idea that units you like can be rendered mediocre. I also understand the stakes that come from having permadeath but I'm always just gonna restart if I lose someone I deem important. As a result it's just more of an annoyance.

I love the sprite work and all the animations. The music is pretty average overall, but there are songs here and there that I enjoyed. The story is presented like 90% through conversation which made it hard for me to get invested. Too many places and names for me to keep track of so I eventually just started skimming or skipping. I got the general idea though and I'm very indifferent to it but it's not that important to me.

Playing this takes a lot out of me, and it feels like a commitment. I wouldn't say I'm a fan now, nor that I am in a hurry to play more. I still found it to be pretty enjoyable and I'm glad I can say I've played a Fire Emblem game.

Regrettably didn't enjoy this game very much at all. I wanted to like it real bad but it's just too shallow and frankly annoying. So many slow menus and loading screen between watching movies. When it isn't movies it's mediocre gameplay. I did one date mission and decided never to do one ever again. The game runs at a terrible fps and although I see the game praised for its art style I honestly kinda found it ugly during gameplay. A game can be as SUDA as it wants and I wont complain I just wish the game itself was better.

After an agonizing run through RE1 I could not be happier that there is a modernized and good remake of the second one. I can't comment on the game's accuracy to the original because I never played it (and probably never will). Regardless I found this game to be a real entertaining and streamlined experience. Gone is the experience of getting lost in the mansion and having to repeatedly battle the controls. This game pushes you through its levels in a much more guided way but still provides the tense encounters and item management you'd expect from a survival horror game. I have a weird relationship with survival horror mechanics where if they limit me too much I get exclusively annoyed to a point that it doesn't service the game. This game really nailed the balance with its limited inventory and combat encounters to where I was forced to make tougher decisions but it was never the end of the world if I fucked up.

I'm a Leon fan and I liked his side of the story better, although I did do his part first which might matter. They really don't feel like two halves of a story as much as two different versions. Mr. X is hilarious and doesn't show up as excessively as I expected which was cool.

This shit aint Star Fox. This is Dinosaur Planet with Fox McCloud taped on top. Everyone knows that though. The game was saved from obscurity by doing so, but at the same time it nuked Star Fox as a whole. It's just a boring game through and through. I cannot recall a single moment where I felt fully invested. Just pushing boxes and carrying barrels. Combat is one button and the lock on is obnoxious. Prince Tricky is never used meaningfully and is a nothing character.

This game's existence only bums me out because Dinosaur Planet as a concept feels so immeasurably lame. I don't know what compels people to want fleshed out worlds of talking tribal lizards but Star Fox has no business being involved with all this magical crystal bullshit. Had they stayed separated, Dinosaur Planet would just be some barely above average obscure shovelware for gaming youtubers to harp about.

The game looks ok and there's like 2 songs I liked.

I played the demo of this game soon after it was announced and was pretty impressed with what I saw. Now that I've played the completed product I can say that it exceeded my expectations. There's no mistaking that it wants to look and play like a FromSoft game, and I'd probably consider that super corny if they didn't pull off such a solid game. It takes a little something from pretty much every FromSoft soulsborne game from Demon Souls to Sekiro.

Players who are familiar with souls games should feel right at home playing this game. The controls and feel were largely familiar to me. One of the few issues I had with the game was that I felt like I was getting caught on enemies and trapped against walls more than I had in any Dark Souls game. This could be for a few reasons, but it's an issue that I think it pretty unique to this game.

I think the map design is excellent and I very rarely got frustrated with navigation. The game is pretty smooth for the first few areas, but I think once you cross about the half way point, the game gets a little too generous with higher hp and/or obnoxious enemy types. I never found it too excessive but I got kind of sick of seeing different flavors of damage sponge mini-boss enemies right before a Stargazer (bonfire).

As far as bosses go, I actually think most if not all of them are very cool. I understand the point that they eventually get really tanky and demanding but proper SoulsBorne bosses have always felt that way to me. The feeling of learning and overcoming a boss that initially feels impossible is pretty unmatched. There aren't any easy ways out for these bosses like you would see in Elden Ring, only you and your hitting stick of choice. I think it's very likely that more casual players could get filtered out by this. You can upgrade weapons and work through a skill tree, but these feel more like necessary progression than something that makes a significant difference. The weapon selection is pretty wicked overall, but the heaviest weapons feel unviable even when their parts are mixed and matched.

The game's story is pretty straightforward whether you read lore tidbits or not. It's something that I believe sets it apart from what it's emulating. The way the game uses music, especially towards the end, really stood out to me. I've seen the game criticized for its writing and voice performances but I thought they were serviceable at worst. The story is derivative but painted differently enough that it didn't really bother me. Gameplay was always the highlight anyway. The lore of games like these only really shines when it's explained to you by a somber dude on YouTube.

Anyway, loved playing this game. Looking forward to what comes next.

Evokes the same feeling as playing early Fall Guys but a little lacking on the content I would expect from the extended dev time. It needs more features like playlists and offline play. The only game I truly dislike playing is Beast Ball. Many of the games are also just too long, with the 'sport' type games being a first to 3. With friends it's always a good time, granted you're not getting repeatedly owned every round. It's far from perfect and a little lacking overall but I got basically exactly what I paid for. Thus the rating.

This game has a persistent presence on this site. That's the only reason I got it. Still confused as to why.

It's ok. Goin fast is fun and all but there's not much to see here. The learning curve doesn't seem all that worth it. Love the music.

Very indifferent to this. It's probably because in 2023 this game doesn't bring anything all that unique to the table. Mullins loves his meta shit but I'm starting to wonder if he's capable of anything else.
