2003: One of the best Mario RPGs.
2004: The best fighting game.
2005: Objectively the best video game ever made.
2006: Not my favorite Zelda but one I'm having so fun exploring its vast world.
2007: The best game ever because Mario in space.
2008: Tripping sucks but otherwise this game fucks.
2009: The best Naughty Dog game.
2010: Not quite as magical as the first overall but still has its own advantages and it still has quite a fair share of transcendent moments that capture the breathtaking nature of the first.
2011: Makes you feel like Batman.
2012: It's been a while since I played this but I remember really really liking it.
2013: One of the best 2D platformers.
2014: Great ass kart racer with a terrible battle mode.
2015: Fanbase sucks but this game is an unironic masterpiece.
2016: Persona 5, baybeeeeee!
2017: One of the most beautiful looking games ever and it's a near perfect masterpiece.
2018: Makes you feel like Spider-Man.
2019: Actually Persona 5 Royal but I didn't want to repeat P5 so take this other masterpiece instead.
2020: Best remake of 2020.
