A wonderfully deep game, with plenty of political intrigue, but takes a LOT of mental energy to play given just how far it goes - fantastic, well worth your time, but you have to be ready and patient enough to stick with it.

It looks so good, but I have got to get into the right headspace. I do NOT remember there being this much plot/lore dumping in these things. With all the hours of text & story, may as well just be a visual novel. Might give it a go later on.

A gameplay é muito interessante, afinal, quem nunca quis ser um gatinho explorando um mundo distópico cyberpunk com ótimos gráficos e nível de exploração interessante, o level design é muito bom também então todas as áreas do jogo são super memoráveis e tornam a experiencia muito mais imersiva e divertida. A história é ok e meio previsível porém ainda assim muito divertidinha de ver acontecendo.

You can definitely tell there's missing QoL features and later games have more varied dungeons but like. It's crazy how Chunsoft established a perfect roguelike formula on the super nintendo

eu me sinto burro jogando esse jogo.
O nível de exploração dele é muito incrível e ir descobrindo a história e ir conectando os pontos sem uma ordem correta faz eu me sentir um verdadeiro historiador descobrindo toda uma civilização.
Ainda não zerei mas ja tenho boas horas de jogo pra saber que estamos falando de um baita jogão.

I think the early Final Fantasy games might just not be for me and that's okay!
I definitely liked it more than FF7. Some of the characters are really interesting (mostly Vivi, but I liked Freya before the plot forgot about her) and the art style is super cozy, but beyond that everything just seems really generic and contrived. Sub-plots are picked up and then dropped without warning to the point where I had no idea what I was actually even doing.
The battle system is so boring. ATB is awful, Trance is awful, the loading screens before battles are awful; combat was just genuinely unenjoyable as a whole. I slogged through it for the narrative, but even that reached a point where it just became stale for me.
Maybe one day I'll eventually find a mainline Final Fantasy game that I like as much as FF14.
