Fantastic story and characters, the gameplay is a little out dated but still very enjoyable

Story was the carrying factor, the card system was incredibly bad with the only fun really being in the Riku side of the story

looking back these games were the epitome of mid

Went into this expecting pain, but actually wasn't that bad! I do still think DS1 is better, but aside from the Aava fight, nothing felt unfair to play.

I played and beat this on a calculator, great game

Never have I ever played a 3D platformer that gave me such a visceral reaction as this game did. I thought I just didn't like 3D platformers anymore because of it. Everything in this game is the epitome of obnoxious, between absolute garbage level design, camera and controls functioning as well as trying to run on a treadmill on ice while being sprayed with water in the face, to the entire game having the sound design of slapstick kids commercial for the newest Slime Toy TM. If you give this game anything above 3 stars I genuinely feel bad for you of how you lie to yourself. Just go play Mario 64 if you want a good platformer from that era.

Tried to force myself to play it for the art style, but everything else was so slow and boring I couldn't make it past the 2 hour mark

Got through Ventus and Terra's endings but I couldn't make it through Aqua's. Loved the characters and everything this game sets up but wow the battle system is not great.

An absolute joy from start to finish. Kirburger

Fun but WAY too grindy at some points

The only reason this isn't half a star is that the house exploding for zero reason is amazing

This game gets a lot more flak than it deserves. As someone who has gotten into the series only recently, this game feels like it perfectly captures the terror of dealing with the home planet of a galactical threat. Controls were tight and music slapped. Half a point off due to the lack of Metroid fight variations but still great.

Great game, just should not have had a roguelike emphasis
