The Last of Us Part II
The Last of Us Part II
If the first game tugged on your heart strings, this one full-stop rips them out.

This is, at least in my experience, the greatest game I’ve ever completed.

Where to begin...

Maybe the review I wrote!
But what a game... I mean my god. The story is so beautiful and well crafted. But that's just the first of maybe all things that are good about the game.

I could talk for hours about everything that works... but It's simply just one of the best games I've ever finished. Maybe there are better games out there. I'm sure there are at least games as good,

But The Last of Us is undoubtedly one of the greatest games ever crafted.

Marvel's Spider-Man
Marvel's Spider-Man
Spider-Man was everything I ever hoped for as a kid being a fan of the wallcrawler. Not only was it the perfect love letter to fans, but it was also a genuinely well-crafted game with a beautiful, memorable, heartbreakingly good story.

5

Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley
Vibes unlike any other game out there.

The music is immaculate. I could listen to it all day. It's literally transcendent.

The changing of seasons... the simplicity in its art design... yet the complexity in its gameplay!

It's everything a farming sim should, could, and maybe can ever be. It's a perfect game, truly. And one I'll likely play for the rest of my life. At least until it is dethroned.

We'll see about that though.

It Takes Two
It Takes Two
The definitive two-player storytelling experience.

It absolutely shreds in every single area, and you'll kick yourself for not experiencing it sooner if you put it off!

Max Payne
Max Payne
I pretty much covered everything in my review... but this was the game that got me back into video games as an adult. Not just as a form of entertainment... but as an incredible medium of storytelling.

Max Payne has charm, style, and now, nostalgia attached to it. I adore everything about it. Jank and all.

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
Though it loses some of the initial charm of the first game and doesn't polish the firsts gameplay flaws... Max Payne 2 is still a game with incredible writing, atmosphere and gameplay.

It's story and characters are engaging, and it's level design is thrilling. It keeps you wanting to play, and consistently rewards you for doing so. And let's not forget about the killer score.

What Remains of Edith Finch
What Remains of Edith Finch
This is a game that can go from hilarious and fun, to melancholic and beautiful at the drop of a hat. But not in a way that’s compromising of its tone or storytelling experience.

There’s so much simplicity in its gameplay and so much complexity to its narrative. So much to peel back at every corner. It’s incredibly written… and it’s haunted me ever since I finished it.
