Fuck this trash ass game.
How was the first game so amazing but this sequel a literal pile of dog shit?
Everything from the repetitiveness, the the level design, to the sheer lack of direction. I will never touch this game again.

First experience with a Yakuza style game. Over the top fighting segments, funny dialogue, cutscenes that were very entertaining.
All around this game was pretty good. It did take a while to sink its teeth into me as i started to lose interest, but the story reaaaaally started to get good and delivered a twist that blew me away.
Really good game and a definite sleeper title for me

I feel like since this was the first entry in a series it wasn’t gonna be the best.
The controls were clunky and some sections were really hard even by my standards.
The story was intriguing, I would probably play a remaster (this time not as chaotic).
I threw aside stealth in favor of killing anything that crosses my path.
The game wasn’t too long so I could see myself playing another round.

A game that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
A really enjoyable survival horror. Another game I played back when it released but I wasn't a fan of horror games back then.
Playing through the chapters and just enjoying the story.
NGL game had some pretty fucked up stuff in it but boy was it awesome.
Highly recommend for all survival horror fans.

I hated this game from start to finish. But I couldn't leave the game unfinished. The movement, the overwhelming amount of enemies, the bad level design, and overall clunky feel of the game. The only thing this game had going for it was the graphic fidelity.
Gank DOES NOT EQUAL difficult
So glad to be done with it.

This game was absolutely amazing.
The level design, the enemies, the weapons, and the mechanics were immaculate in my opinion.
The game rewarded those with patience as well as punished those who over extend.
I think the 1.2 patch was not needed as people just needed to stop crying and get good.
I finished my first playthrough in 31 hours and 45 minutes with 182 deaths. Best run in a souls like I have ever done.
I will 100% be doing more playthroughs to 100% this game.

Man what a ride of a game. I purchased this game in 2020 shortly after release, played it for about 3 hours then put it down for like 9 months.
I had been away from it for so long i couldnt even remember what i was doing and was super confused on what to do next.
I noticed the deluxe edition was on sale in the steam store and decided to buy it as to get away from Epic launcher and start fresh.
This game did not disappoint and it even challenged me to frustration on some missions. A well rounded story driven game with great gameplay and combat mechanics.
If you havent played this yet i highly recommend.

FUCKING MASTERPIECE. For a game this old it has held up so well. I wasn't a survival horror type of gamer growing up so this one managed to fly under my radar. I kinda regret waiting so long to experience it! The art style was on point, the controls weren't to bad, the story kept me engaged, and the jump scares made my butthole pucker a couple of times. Playing this classic has me excited for 2 and 3, as well as picking up the remake once it goes on sale because i wanna put my PC through its paces.

There are no words to explain the masterpiece this game was. Released in 1998 and even in 2023 the game felt as good as ever. The controls took a bit to get accustomed to again but after that it was buttery smooth. A challenging experience that brought me back to my childhood in all the right ways.
10/10 game and forever a classic.
Definitely gonna be doing more playthroughs

Forever a classic. There is literally nothing I can say.

I'M STILL IN A DREAM SNAKE EATER.
Banger of a game. PS2 version is rough to play by todays standard, but the PS3 remaster saved the run. This game lived in my PS2 for 6 months straight without being turned off, that's how much I played this game. Instant classic. That's all I can say, because we can be here all day talking about this game and series.

Holy shit what a masterpiece of a 2001 video game.
the graphics were good, the gameplay was even better. I enjoyed the hack and slash style of game. Would definitely play it again on harder difficulty for more of a challenge.

An absolute banger of a game. Unfortunately to enjoy this title you would have to track down a PS3. I can tell you how many playthroughs of this game and hours sunk during the span of 2009-2013 (When my PS3 died). The penultimate ending to the story of Solid Snake. One of the greatest video game franchises to ever grace Gods green Earth. A cinematic masterpiece, which also a running joke with this game because there are ALOT of cutscenes. Yet it is so easy to get lost in the sauce with this one. If you havent played any of the other games, I wish I could say you would understand the story. So I cant recommend this game as a starter for the series unless you wanna be hella confused. Definitely one of my Top 10 favorites.

Released in 2021 after 6 years of delays. A unique RPG with kung-fu elements. The main story was relatively short but has loads of side missions to level your character up and craft awesome gear.
The gameplay got repetitive after about 5 hours and I quickly lost interest.
I may revisit it in a few months and run through side missions since I can’t uninstall until aurora finishes it.
All in all a decent game with amazing visuals.

Story: all over the place
Combat: atrocious
Voice acting: laughable
The little cutscene after clearing enemies: unnecessary
Overall experience: not great.
My hopes are def higher for the later games, but my expectations for this game were underwhelming
