Wish I liked this more. I loved the first game because of the pretty tightly written murder mystery but in this one the murder mystery itself takes a backseat to the rest of the bullshit going on in the story to the point where solving the murder is pretty much inconsequential to the plot. Kinda reminds me of the worst parts of VLR.

Good ass game. Writing's kinda whatever and almost embarrassing when it tries to go for jokes that fall completely flat but the gameplay is top notch and the soundtrack is fantastic.

Fantastic open world design, cool characters, cool bosses, lots of interesting builds to go for. Unfortunately, in true Souls fashion, the combat is still kinda jank but the increase in the variety of moves and skills does make it a lot more interesting from a theory crafting perspective at least.

Aesthetically, at first glance, it might not seem as interesting as Bloodborne, DS3 or even Sekiro but the characters and places give the world a lot of color and nuance.

Give it a chance

They mentioned Nar Shadda in the first 15 minutes but it's not an actual location in the game, also Stormtroopers don't scream when you Force Push them off a ledge
0/10

What a joyful little game, I hope they make a full length one at some point

Better than the original in terms of gameplay and overall game feel but severely lacking in terms of story and interesting boss fights/encounters

Pretty good overall, great cutscene direction, fantastic soundtrack. It's unfortunate that it also reminds me of everything I hate about modern video game design.

2021

The game has good vibes, soundtrack's really nice and the visuals are very pretty and unique. Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot to the gameplay itself, searching through nooks and crannies gets really old when the only reward is some pointless collectable.

The story is mostly just a premise without much else going on. It's supposed to be a coming of age story that you write yourself, you grow up by accumulating experiences while traveling around the world and interacting. But the game doesn't really deliver on that since there aren't a whole lot of interesting quests or characters or even decisions to be made.

Still a really pretty game though. I enjoyed my time with it even if it got boring pretty fast.

Now draw her getting rollback netcode

Will come back to it when they release the version that's actually stable and/or fun

The binaural mic stuff is really neat but everything else is uninteresting or outright bad; the combat is shitty, the writing is terrible and the puzzles are mind numbingly easy. Overall a very shallow experience, play a good walking sim instead.

Great game once you get past the awful starting slog

The devs have rebuilt the tutorial 3 times now but it didn't cross their mind that maybe the reason this game has really poor new player retention is the fact that new players are forced to use shit guns at the start and have to wait 3 days to build their second warframe

Hopefully the sequel will be better
