I got to the final boss as a 11 year old. Died 20 times and gave up. got it again for switch and one day I will slay this beast.

This game was so influential in my life, I remember being so excited when I turned 10 because I was finally allowed to play it. My Mexican catholic mother opposed me having this game in the house and I proceeded to get in trouble over and over again just to play this series.

Bought it for PC, then again for Switch to get the plush. Tried it for a few minutes. Plush is cool.

Buying this game was dope, Wife immediately played it..... still playing it.... 200 hours later this is forever backloggd.

Wife had this game on PC, tried it and couldn't get into it. So I bought it again for the switch and forced myself to give it 3 more attempts. about 60% through the game on pacifist I just kept dying and didn't want to spend 30 hours back tracking for heals through the edgy forest at 4mph so its perma-shelved.

I did not like this game, I tried... probably half heartedly, but I did not enjoy it.

Multiplayer is sick, the true combos are really hard to connect. the world tour is fun with some level spikes, which is likely due to a need to grind/use a mixed style as opposed to rank up each style with no modification. story is fun. Multiplayer is sick.

This game felt too long and too empty story was chill but total slog. the kind of game that good in a vacuum.

Its a game you can play forever but really is best played with committed friends on server worlds. its worth a play, when this was in beta I never could have seen the impact this would have on gaming its astounding how a single grain of rice can tip the scale and with a single notch in the gates of the gaming industry the world thrown into the indie race.

I get a sense of accomplishment just having this game on my backlog.

I actually beat this game, and even run a discord server with an active player base. https://discord.gg/4gA9PjjqGq ask for the @figher tag (yes we know its a typo.)

I was so happy to buy this game, got the steel book edition since I knew my wife liked the normal edition on ps4, with it being 120 hours worth of play time and a dating sim I'll likely leave it on the backlog until my unborn son is old enough to beat it for me.

Honestly not it. Plays well and is a excellent game, but at the end doesn't have the soul that some mario games have. it's not nostalgia in my opinion. while I would say SM64 is dope I would say the Cat world in the switch Mario 3d world game is dripping with soul. This game has great worlds and set pieces and is well polished but exemplifies that we are now in nintendo's ubisoft era of vomiting objectives across the map as though they don't cheapen the experience.

This game was pretty cool for the story and did stuff for the genre but is ultimately forgettable when compared to the first one. would play for the cake given its short.

this is an S tier game no doubt. I had to buy a multiplayer adapter for this game. I HAD to get all the characters. It meant so much when I got all the rune-stones the first time! Grinding the mountain level to get hella rich. gotta play Pojo at least once.
