I haven’t gotten to play as much tekken as I wish I did, I’m waiting for 8 to fully dive into the game but from what I’ve played this game is the essence of a fighting game, it’s cool, technical, flashy on investment and hard as fuck, this game will make you want to put it down and you probably will if you don’t have the drive to be good at it but that’s what I love about fighting games, you’ll either lose one hundred times to get that one win or you’ll give up on the third loss and never feel the satisfaction of being good at a fighting game. I can’t wait for 8 when I can give this franchise a shot.

This is the game that will get you into fighting games. I still admire that this game allows you to feel cool with only a few hours in and still have a high enough skill ceiling to not be a scrubfest. The characters are all unique and fun, gameplay, design and lore wise, the soundtrack is addictively good and this game just has an insane amount of good anime energy.

This will probably be considered one of the best Street Fighter games up with Third Strike in about twenty years, the roster is lacking, the mental stack is nuts, world tour is mid, there’s not enough costumes and you have to pay for colors. I only bring all that up to show that this game is so incredibly smooth and fun that even all those negatives still have it at a 4 This will be my favorite fighting game of all time in about three years after some more characters and some balance adjustments.
2016
Great game that started as a terrible game, the launch basically ruined the chances of this game in the public’s eyes and I blame nobody for not picking it up ever again. However, this game has my favorite Street Fighter roster of all time at the moment and is playable online with some okay balance.

This game made me hate videogames, a “remake” that wastes time and makes it clear that it’s a fanfiction rewrite to lack any emotional punch, nothing sad happens in this game, nobody cares about jessie when she dies you’re lying if you say you do. The sequel will also be mediocre but will sell a lot of copies to goblin people who enjoy shiny things. Sephiroth is cool but that’s a given he’s Sephiroth.
Best Zelda game of all time for people who are blinded by nostalgia, this game is slammed in every way by Majora’s Mask. I acknowledge the influence and the technological wonder that it is but this game is a series of fetch quests across an “open world” which consists of holding the stick forward for five minutes across an empty hyrule field. Great for it’s time, ambition of a “big game” did not age well.

Defiled corpse of one of my favorite online games of all time, complete waste of fun characters by a trashy greedy company. Game isn’t fun alone because of the balance, game isn’t fun with friends. Blizzard has no idea what they’re doing and it’s incredibly depressing to watch 2016’s best game be destroyed like this for money.

I really could not ever get into this game, the combat system that's hailed as amazing and deep seems to want you to be as ineffective as possible to look cool, the aesthetic is meh, the music is pretty cool, vergil is pretty cool, a lot of things that I should like shoved into a game that just isn’t for me.
Complicated, hard to look at little brother of one of the most beloved games of all time that I enjoy more than the first. The hate for this game was unreal from people who seemed to not understand the first game. The gameplay is a straight upgrade from the first and I enjoy the story more. The pacing could use some work but those are my only real complaints. Excited for last of us 3.

The best persona game at the moment, the characters are likable, the writing is engaging and unraveling the mystery with your friends even if you know the answer is fun. The group of friends really feel like friends compared to Persona 5, my only wish for this game is that it’s gameplay was as good as 5’s.
