One of the most overhated games due to internet contrarians trying to tell people that there's actually nothing enjoyable about the game, and you're wrong for liking it.
While I do agree this game isn't very deep or complex in its writing, and the main story isn't that interesting, the core gameplay and atmosphere of it really hits the tone. It has a fun core gameplay loop with interesting places to explore, while all of them not making much sense in the context of Fallout, let alone the setting. The DLCs are definitely the best part about this game, Point Lookout and The Pitt specifically. I'd say Point Lookout is a reason to replay this game alone. While it might miss the point of Fallout, there's still a ton of enjoyment to be had here.

This game is a true FEAR successor once you remember that every sequel to FEAR sucks

Whoever wrote the "Downward fucking dog!" scene should get fucking fired. At least the music's good.

All the issues with the remaster itself aside, this is so far my favorite Yakuza game. The combat is basically Y2's but it controls better and takes a little bit longer for you to get the combo speed as fast as it was, but everything about the combat in this game feels great. All the heat actions and encounters were fun, and every long battle was just incredible because of the better controls and feel of this game.
I liked the story a lot, I think the first couple hours of the game, while slow, is some of the best because it's basically just Kiryu having a vacation.
I can't see why anyone would skip this game at all, nearing the end of this game it came to me just how much I loved it.

Completely slept on this game when it came out because I was turned off by the fact it was a rhythm game, but shockingly this game has some of the best and smoothest hack n slash gameplay out of any game I've ever played. Easiest recommendation to anyone who is even slightly interested in this game.

The soundtrack is also kino as fuck.

the only people who like this game are pedophiles, pedophiles in the making, or people who only play this game to e-date (pedophiles)

Fixes literally every issue I had with the first game and more. Standing as one of the most unique games I've ever played along with the first with even better graphical fidelity, making the artstyle and designs pop out even more and look better. I genuinely believe that this is one of the best looking PS4 games that you can ever play.
Music is again fantastic and even remixes some tracks from the first sounding even better, elevating the experience of getting to older areas from the first game tenfolds, and making you feel absolutely incredible during bossfights, don't think there was a single track from this games OST that I disliked.
Combat again isn't the best, but once you completely turn off the motion sensitivity for the controller the game plays much much better. It's still not the best part of the game, but there's more variety to it and isn't very difficult. But the gameplay in general is still fun. Much like the first game, the most fun thing to do is just flying around exploring the cities and meeting all the people. Playing through every sidequest just made the experience better, seeing their little story arcs, and in some cases they even intertwine in other sidequests. It's a very very lovely game.
And the story of this game made me fuckin' cry like a bitch dude. Easily one of the best games I've played. Just wish they didn't shut down the servers barely a year after it came out, making several of the costumes unobtainable. Other than that, it's basically perfect.

I flipflop between this one and 3 being my favorite, but this game is basically perfect, and the best Suda game to introduce to anyone. Everything about this game is unforgettable, whether it be the bossfights, storybeats, or music.

Unironically a game you could play forever.

I have a decent amount of issues with the story, imo I think it falls apart at the end. But the gameplay and amount of stuff you can do in this game is fucking nuts. Just about all the content in this game is refined to a tea and can be enjoyed by literally anyone, there's basically 3 different entire games in this game with their own plots and ideas to them. I think this game is a massive step up from y4 in terms of gameplay and obviously sheer scale. All the characters feel fantastic to play as.
The ending is also fucking incredible. Probably my 3rd favorite Yakuza game.

This is quite possibly one of the funniest "Of the time" games that could ever exist. I don't get how people can call this really a terrible game or worthy of being one of the "worst ever", it's really not that bad of a game, just doesn't play very well in general. I don't think you can play a game where you fist fight Osama Bin Laden as the final boss and not have fun.

Very hard game to describe and to recommend to probably anyone, but in general I think next to NMH1 this is the best NMH game, especially on a gameplay standpoint. The combat is very simple but very fun and easy to pick up and put down. The bossfights being the standouts yet again and probably being my favorite in the entire series. Easy recommendation to anyone. But this game WILL leave you in the dust on story details, so make sure you play NMH1 and TSA first!

Yakuza 7 is a weird game. One I still can't really put into words what I truly think about this game.

The story and general character writing in this game has to be some of the best in the entire franchise, bar none. Probably in all of gaming honestly. Ichiban is such an instantly likable and relatable character. He's a dude you wanna see succeed every step of the way, and it's always nice to see him succeed. There's only a handful of games that I can point to that has a main character that's just so likable and entertaining it's almost unrealistic how nice of a guy he is. Every interaction he has with the rest of the cast is just nice to hear because Ichi just has shit to say and it's always entertaining.

This game has had some of the best scenes in the whole series with some really entertaining and funny scenes that can be followed up with the most fucking heart wrenching thing you will ever see. The ending of this game really fucked me up, it's probably just my favorite ending to any Yakuza game ever.

With that comes my main problems with this game, which is for the most part the gameplay of it. It's not by any means bad, honestly it's really good, especially for a first attempt. But it's really only until later in the game where you get some better moves and gear where the combat just starts to click and becomes enjoyable. Some of the bosses can be really annoying damage sponges that you can't even hit with certain moves sometimes. The side content in this game is really lackluster with some really lame substories and side activities that are more just boring than anything. Granted, I don't think you can top anything side content related after 5, but I still wish it was better overall.

Issues aside it's really hard for me to say I actively dislike a good portion of this game, the last final chapters of it are really fucking good and is probably one of the best written in the series. Ichiban is straight up the best protagonist, he's number one.
