One of my all-time favorites. An amazing remake that improves on the original in every way and carries over what makes it so great - an amazing amount of variety, fun controls, and top-tier music

Great music and appealing graphics. Pretty typical as far as Kirby games go, but this entry makes some pretty frustrating design choices later on, involving a lot of backtracking to get copy abilities specific to certain Rainbow Drops.

Was having a great time until I realized I actually had to get good at Puyo-Puyo. Has gotten me interested in the series as a whole though, and Tetris obviously speaks for itself. The blending of the two games works suprisingly well.

Pretty good so far. Amazing music, good graphics for the time, and an interesting hybrid of overhead adventure game and shoot-em-up. The dungeons are pretty esoteric though.

It was super fun on the first playthrough, especially since I went after completing the Pokedex. An engaging story too, much better than Sword and Shield's. However, once the honeymoon phase wears out, you're left with a pretty empty game with buggy graphics, barren towns, and not much to differentiate it from other games in the series as far as post-game content.

1991

Fun little overhead shooter on the Game Boy from HAL. The only problem is that it's far too short - it took about 30 minutes to complete.

Great port of a great game with the bonus of adding Magolor lore and what is essentially a condensed Mario Party game but with Kirby characters.

Iconic in every way and the Mega Man game to play if you have never tried one before. Super approachable even for an NES game.

A great dark comedy with a unique aesthetic and premise. It has a lovely cast of mean-spirited yet likable characters and an engaging plot from beginning to end. Not quite as good as the second entry though.

This game shows its age in a lot of ways, but Sonic and his friends are super satisfying to control, and the levels are very dense, with multiple pathways to explore and secrets to find. I personally don't mind the other playstyles (not even Big's - I like fishing).

Amazing game with beautiful graphics and sound, fantastic level design, and a quirky sense of humor

While the character sprites are very well animated and the music is astounding, the game itself is the weakest in the franchise. Levels require multiple playthroughs at a time to clear all of the optional objectives that you are given, and if you don't go for those objectives, there's very little to do. Not bad, but certainly a far cry from its predecessor.

Pretty simple yet addicting linear platformer. Very fun to pick up and play, and a great port of the second NES game.

A decent Kirby game. The relatively non-linear nature of the game makes exploring the world fun, though admittedly there is not much incentive to explore. It relies a bit too much on recycled assets from Nightmare in Dreamland but looks good on the GBA nonetheless.

Amazing remake that improves on the origonal in every way. Even has a built it port to compare the two.
