A perfect example of how good ideas don't always turn into good games. Repetitive gameplay and uninteresting fights plague this title, despite a great pitch and universe.

A fantastic remake of the two original Langrisser games, with bland new artwork but the option to restore the original glorious Urushihara designs.
The difficulty was slightly adjusted to allow even newcomers to the genre to enjoy themselves, and the amount of alternative storylines is simply stunning, ranging from small details to complete overhauls.
A wonderful entry point into the legendary series.

The first two Metroid games did not age well. The 3DS remake is much more enjoyable, even though this version still has its merits.

Three episodes full of nightmarish levels. One man against legions of demons. Welcome to Doom, id Software's most well-known franchise. I've always felt the second episode is subpar compared to the other two, which is why this only gets 4 stars, but it's still a good lot of fun especially with the Brutal mod.

Take the already mediocre port of Final Fight on the Super Famicom, remove its best character Cody, replace him with Guy, don't add the two-player co-op mode, and re-release the game. I understand that Guy was popular in Japan, but this game should never have had to exist.

The best episode in the entire franchise, thanks to the fantastic Godot. Relies a bit too much on supernatural for my taste, hence the not-perfect score, but overall, amazing character development and writing.

The port itself is an incredible achievement. This was no small task and this game has no right to be as good as it is. The biggest issue is that it's a six button game, on a console with only four.

Capcom vs. SNK 2 is a fantastic game, but this GameCube port, while not inherently awful, is borderline unplayable due to the GameCube controller itself which was great for a lot of genres, but not for 2D fighters. The EO means Capcom introduced mechanics to make special moves easy to pull off to compensate, which frankly ruin the fun.

An absolutely fantastic platformer, accessible, beautiful, with an amazing soundtrack. My only critic would be regarding the Chapter 9 DLC, which is utter speedrunner garbage and I absolutely despise it. Everything else is golden.

Sometimes considered a remake of the first game in the series (I strongly disagree) this is still to this day my absolute favorite Castlevania game. It was also a fantastic display of the Super Famicom's capabilities, using its graphical and audio features wisely. The one little critic would be that since the whip is overpowered, the secondary weapons are not that useful. But that's very much it.

If you enjoy running around in a game with unclear mechanics, not understanding what you're supposed to do, then this Hideo Kojima production is for you.

Fantastic but brutally difficult game, technically the third in the Gargoyle's Quest franchise. A series that I would love to see welcome a fourth episode.

A very strong sequel, that definitely lives up to the original Super Famicom game and manages to raise the stakes. 30 opponents, incredibly fast races, and fierce competition. Some people complained the backgrounds weren't that interesting, but who cares about those at 900km/h?

All the cutscenes from the PS1 version, without the stupid loading times, and several QoL improvements using the touch / dual screen. This is the definitive version of Chrono Trigger.

It might be hard to fathom how revolutionary this game was when it came out, but never before had solo FPS campaigns been this immersive, this intense, and this narratively rich. The closest that comes to mind is the original Unreal, and it is not even that close. A true masterpiece despite a rushed final chapter.
