I was a bit skeptical about this cause not having played this before. It really does live up to its reputation. As a metroidvania, not even that much backtracking, but I can see it depends on the player.

The perfect 2D Castlevania, beautiful everything. Played 100%.

Best GBA Castlevania easily. Not perfect, but quality all around. Fun to play, flows well. Nothing too complicated, also nothing shocking.

1996

Finished on Nightmare as well as on Normal. In retrospect it feels like the next obvious step after DOOM, but the truth is not often that clear. Too many game companies aren't able to make a good follow up for anything. ID is of course of another breed, just glad that it feels good years later and the new source port is great way to experience this right now.

Sigh, this was just really annoying. Enjoyed the exploration and soundtrack. Hated so many little and bigger things. In the end, I just wanted get over with it.

Some of the older horror games kinda lose their effect when they get older. Silent Hill on the other hand has aged very well and is quite effective today. Story is basic, but the feeling and atmosphere is spot on.

I don't know I don't hate it that much as others may. Well the jokes are outdated of course. Levels were fun, played the expansions also. Have hard time deciding between this and Duke. Maybe Duke was more polished tho. As a Build engine fan, i'm very biased and liked to play this very much.

Perfect SNES Beat em up, nothing to add.

Pretty biased "review" since I am a huge fan. Enjoyed this one a lot, soundtrack is one of my favorites and it has very unique battle system for its time. Only few bad things were I did not where to go at times, but that is subjective i guess. Amazing artwork and it's technically very impressive for SFC.

Played Co-Op. I do like this one, though NES beat em ups are quite limited still. Quite easy as well, but great fun.

Solid start for Wario Land games. It's quite weird to play Game Boy games nowadays, since back in the day the big thing was getting to play the games while on a trip for example. Now when you take that in to account, I think this is on the upper side in the list of good Game Boy games.

As I like the original version, I really liked this one also. Just the definitive way to play this game, improved on a number of things and fixed a few smaller issues as well. I guess this game just clicks for me. Played some of the optional stuff too.

One of my favorite childhood games. Needless to say, I did not beat it then. Finally worked my way through this, actually I think this is a perfect but hard platformer. All of the elements of this game I am a fan of, the soundtrack, graphics, everything. Only thing that is such bs is not having unlimited continues when using memory card. There is zero reason not to have them in a game like this and it's only a nuisance. The difficulty does not bother me since I am pretty used to it.

Perfect modern Point & Click. Great package, from artwork, world design and soundtrack, all the way to character design. I am also fan of ambient and electronic music so the soundtrack is a hit for me. Gladly puzzles are not too cryptic, and it's not too long, when it could become a chore.

Quite similiar to Aria of Sorrow. Bonus points for the ending, soundtrack fits for the game, nothing too memorable. As Aria it flows well, just improved Aria, well I think it depends on the day honestly.
