cool game. the horror aspects are done really well and i found myself super invested in the story, exploring every room and reading every text log.

2022

i thought i was gonna like this a lot more than i did. the progression system and lack of stages didn't really interest me at all. the fighting is fun, i just wish there was more to the actual game

this game is just too good, it feels like it was designed to cater towards everything i love in games. big over-the-top stories, chill gameplay, great world design, and much more. the online aspects in this is incredible and so overlooked. i loved walking over a bridge or climbing up some ladder that somebody i don't know placed and just trying to spam them with as many likes as i possibly could. getting excited to see how many likes i received for the structures that i built every time i logged on. not actually interacting with anyone but still getting a glimpse of how they experienced or ventured through some part of the game. the world feels so fun to explore and journey through. i probably spent the majority of my time just gathering resources to build roads for one giant highway like i was playing catan. the soundtrack fits so well and the story and characters are so sick. i can see it not being a game for everyone, but it's definitely a game for me.

fun game. art style felt a little off at first but it still looks good and you get used to it. feels very faithful to the original

put this one off for a while because i heard mixed things on release and was worried about how it could possibly follow up the first game. safe to say that this completely exceeded my expectations. story is incredible and i love how cinematic this game feels. it looks amazing and feels great to play.

really fun game. impressive amounts of charm, creativity, and style put into this. definitely a unique platformer experience.

pretty massive disappointment after how much i loved the first one. i get its "early access" or whatever, but that just feels like a cop-out with what we were led to believe before release. there are some massive improvements to the graphics, building, and AI compared to the original. but overall, it's just completely lacking in everything else. not really scary, not a lot to do, story not as interesting. excited to try it again tho in like 2-3 years

good game, not sure why it doesn't get as much love as the others. love how over the top this gets with the super long cutscenes and goofy moments. found myself really enjoying the level design in this one.

so far ahead of its time. might just be the best story in the series. feels so carefully crafted the entire time to only let you know as much as it wants you to

classic game. great sound design and the visuals are full of charm. killer story with some incredible characters. really set the stage for the future games to come.

super fun game. the open-world aspect of this allows for so much more creative freedom in how you approach things. sucks that there was so much cut content. however, if you take the cut last mission into account, i've never really understood why people thought the story was incomplete. sure it's not as tight towards the end, but it was working under the constraints of trying to tie back into the MSX games from 30 years ago. and i think it succeeds at that and does so in an interesting way.

a surprisingly good teaser for MGSV. the close quarters in this works really well and keeps it interesting.

not as good as the other mgs games but still decent. story is pretty good and full of interesting characters. i think the visual style they chose for the cutscenes actually works really well and looks great.

one of the greatest games ever. it's so over the top in the best way possible: ocelot constantly spinning his guns, snake's dry and funny delivery, the random zoom-ins. this game is just filled with so much charm, and that's just one part that makes it so good. you also have the amazing visual style, great sound design, fun gameplay, and so much more. the insane story is what really pulled me in and made me wanna play through the other games. and this is all without mentioning the theme song...

as sick as some of this game is, it just doesn't do it for me as much as i was expecting it too. hard to tell if that's just because of the metal gear name attached to it or not
