Feel so bad for Caleb Pierce. Dude has only been in a handful of episodes in a handful of TV shows, and was given the role of the 3rd main character in the FFVII Remake Trilogy. And since almost everyone is in agreement his voice as Zack isn't nearly as great as Rick Gomez's, it gives people justification to harass and bully him.

This game looks like hot garbage, and has a lackluster roster, but damn as someone who is trying to get into fighting games, it's fun as shit.

ok so the bot problem is still god awful, but even with that looming issue, i ALWAYS have fun playing this gem

While NieR: Automata has great combat and a great soundtrack, the story left much to be desired. I have a friend who wanted me to play this game, and told me I had to play it a couple of times to get the full experience. After completing Route A, I just felt unsatisfied with the story. Crucial details were absent. I understand I have to go back and replay it to get the story, but I wanted closer to a full and complete story in Route A. I'll go back someday, but not for awhile due to school.

This game contains the hardest boss fight I've ever faced: that one NPC you fight in the Grand Cathedral for Elieen's questline.

I understand the mentality of separating artists from the art, but at times this line gets blurred. Everything that has come out about the development of this game has actually made the game worse in my eyes. From the crunch, the glitches, and the broken promises. I would even argue this game's launch is WORSE than Fallout 76's launch because I know deep down this is a good game. But, again, everything that's come out as of late makes me in good conscious not give this game anything above 2 stars.

During the Steam Winter Sale, I came across this game and was instantly reminded of a Nintendo DS game. I was hit with a wave of nostalgia for a game I never heard of before. I could even imagine using a stylus to move around like in the DS Zelda games.

When I played it, I found that it was an extremely comfortable and cozy experience. This game is a combination of Celeste and Animal Crossing. Both A Short Hike and Celeste have the same overall goal: reach the top of the mountain. I would say even more so than Celeste, A Short Hike is about the Journey rather than the destination. The title of the game isn't a lie; the actual hike to the top is extremely short. The point of the game isn't the hike itself, but the things you discover and do on your way to get there. A Short Hike is the perfect "comfy" game to just relax to, and I will be playing it again to complete everything in the game.

I'm really sadden by the fact that I got 4 hours in and did not have that "click" moment yet. It hasn't gotten "good" yet. I know its only 4 hours into a JRPG, but I can't shake this feeling. I will definitely retry this game again at a later date, but right now it's only average (hence the 2.5/5 star rating). Maybe it doesn't help that I was planning to play Persona 5 Royal along side this game...

I would write about all the criticisms I had with this game, but Joseph Anderson's review explains everything I didn't like about this game. These issues are too big of an issue for me to warrant giving this game anything above a 3 out of 5 star rating.

I've sat on my feelings on this game for months now. I think I finally realized the issue with this game, for me. The characters, I think, are not good? I'm still not sure how to express what I feel, but I find the characters lackluster compared to games like Red Dead 2, Last of Us 1, or even FFVII. The characters in this game, to me, are just extremely bland and I never had them click for me. And when I started to warm up to some, like Jesse, they just kill them off. So, to me, most of these characters just act as blank slates with very little personality for the sole purpose to accompany you during gameplay, or just to die to raise stakes in the story. I emphasize that these are my personal feelings, because clearly I'm missing something due to the overwhelming support and love for this game. This problem wouldn't have been an issue if the game wasn't so reliant on its story. The gameplay was fun and sometimes even fantastic, but the main reason people play the Last of Us is for the story, and the characters brought it down for me. I even like some of the concepts the story has, like Joel's death early on and whatnot.

This game (and Project +) is my favorite smash game. It's too bad that Nintendo actively tried to hinder this game from becoming popular, and succeeded.

Somehow, they made a game where you just go left and right with occasional QTEs fun and engaging the entire time through. Only complaint is that it's only an hour or so long. But, since my only complaint is that I wanted more of the game, that just goes to show how good the game actually is.

I used to love this game so much when it first came out in early access in 2018 or so. It was one of the only battle royals I enjoyed. The story of Darwin Project, however, sadly is a tragic one because the devs essentially destroyed what made the game great in the more recent updates. The class system TOTALLY ruins the fun of the original of finding different powers and using them to your advantage. Now, you are locked to a set of a few powers. No more customization, and no more experimentation. This isn't even going into how they screwed up how you acquire the powers too. It saddens me how downhill this game went. Even if I wanted to play, nobody really plays any more. Especially not duos, nobody ever plays duos. I still give this game a 3 and a half star rating because of the extremely fun times I had with it in its early days. But now? I would not recommend it in the slightest.
