A game that really disappointed me when it really shouldn't have. The focus on player freedom and experimention in BOTW is pushed too far here IMO - to a point that breaks my immersion in a way I never once felt in BOTW. That + the disregard of established lore from a direct prequel felt like a massive letdown after BOTW truly grabbed me with its world and lore.

I feel like I gotta be in the right mood to play this one all the way thru

A classic for a reason. Iconic world, iconic characters, iconic dungeons.

Pretty much binged the entire game. From what I remember, the dungeons and bosses were some of the best in the entire series. Midna best companion. Story was alright, but tears of light sections slowed the pacing considerably in the first half of the game. Generally, the character design didn't age super well.

Pretty fun, considering its reputation. Doesnt really feel like a Zelda game but its a fun NES metroidvania-esque game

PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK

Liked it when I was playing, but dropped after I heard every route had a dogshit latter half

I'll finish a full run one day. It's just too long a game to binge thru and I always feel the need to start from the beginning. Furthest I got was the Izuka chapter in Act 4 and dropped off when I couldn't beat it with my underleveled units

Great difficulty and a great Iron Man game, however the cast and story are lacking.

Great gameplay, but I don't see myself ever doing a full replay. The cast is just forgettable. The story, while not as bad as Fates, is still a clusterfuck of contrivances and unearned emotionality. I enjoyed how unabashedly camp the presentation and approach was, but something can be campy and also have an engaging story. Ring system was a cool mechanic but the micromanagement that all of the interwoven web of systems in the Somniel is probably the number one reason I don't envision a replay.

My first FE game, and tied for my favorite. The best cast in the series, the best support system, and while not my pick for the best story (that goes to FE4) it is the only game that pairs a consistently great plot with a fully fleshed out execution. Gameplay is insanely slow, and my only real gripe aside from the lack of difficulty (even on hard)

My least favorite FE game I've played so far. Nothing about the story or cast was really memorable for me, and the gameplay was honestly a bit of a slog.

Peak. The plot is super basic and the maps are garbage, but the execution (audio, visual, feel, etc) are so pristine and comfy that it asserts itself as one of my top 3 FE games. I'd rather have a game that pulls of simplicity extremely well than a game that overextends itself and falls apart like some of the newer games in the series

Great cast, memorable lords, fun gameplay and unit feel. The story's nothing to write home about, but it doesn't really need to be. The most replayable in the series and my favorite to Iron Man.

Just a middling FE game for me, not super endeared to the cast as a whole and not a big fan of the pair-up mechanic. The story is fine in arc 1, but continues to decrease in quality with each subsequent arc.
