I can already hear you "big slopsta why do you put dead end aegis on every list ever???" because it's one of the best vns ever written and I will fight tooth and nail about this. the cathedral is an extremely purgatorial space, and becomes even more so during the latter half of the august invasion route. It's the kind of place where days blur into weeks blur into months blur into years. Every day is a haze that was once painful but now you've only gotten used to it. you're not even a person anymore, just livestock for copulation. you can't even hate the ones violating you because not even they are people. you're completely trapped not just physically but in the sludge and mush of your brain on space superhell. this is your brain on capitalistic warmongering space imperialism with a side of crushing patriarchy and blind patriotism without even a country to pride yourself in.
