different experience from the original but both are equally fantastic in their own ways

i'm not the biggest fan of the original RE3 either way so I wasn't too bothered about the alterations and cut content from the original, in general I found the pacing to be a lot better and the dodge mechanic was reimplemented Much better and doesn't suck ass, Nemesis being scripted is a bit of a bummer but at least his actual bossfights are Vastly superior

easily the best of the PS1 trilogy and hands down one of the best entries in general that still holds up great

kind of a joke difficulty wise nowadays but it's still a fun time nonetheless, the story is dumb and the voice acting is masterwork tripe

my least favourite of the PS1 trilogy by far, it's still good in it's own right, but compared to RE2 it just feels hollow and extremely shallow, at least the music is great

each time I revisit this game I like it more and more, stands by as one of the best and finest co-op experiences i've ever had with a great campaign and an a sick finale, loads of unlockable content and side modes too

people who had issues with the last few chapters need to get good cause it's really not that bad, and avoid playing solo if you can

people that think ORC, Umbrella Corps, Survivor, RE5 or RE6 are the worst entries are all wrong and have never touched this game before

fixes every single issue I had with RE7 and doubles down on aspects of the RE games I love making for one of my favourite entries to the series

I love the first half but most of the game past the Old House really dips in quality for me and just becomes boring, frustrating, and unfun at worst, throwing the same 2-3 enemy types at you repeatedly when the combat was designed for tense smaller scale fights, the Bakers are fun but stop really feeling like a threat by the latter half and the game ends up becoming an average corridor shooter especially Right at the end, the ship genuinely tanked my opinion of the game a lot and I wish it didn't, cause the first 50 or so percent is charming and loveable

right up there with Mario 64 and Majora's Mask in terms of N64 games that aged gracefully

i'm on my knees begging for a widescreen port or a sequel to this series this game and series is too good to be left to collect dust

wouldn't it be cool if in this game where the lead director intended you to have your own past and personality cause it's a roleplaying game, be suddenly given a Very specific backstory for your character and a bunch of expositionary lore that fucking sucks? and the locations were a literal fucking hallway with minimal exploration? Then the writer yells at you through their super cool OC that they made about the tones of the game and it was really fucking embarassing? that'd be funny lol

quite frankly I kinda skip doing this DLC on repeat playthrough cause it bores me to tears

the map is Fine, the quests aren't particularly noteworthy, at least some of the characters are pretty interesting, but goddamn is the actual gameplay dry here

man I love Sierra Madre so much, the closest the modern Fallout games have ever reached something in depth as the Black Isle games and it's fucking GOOD. The entire cast of characters is fantastic, your choices Genuinely matter and have lasting consequences, the standalone story is great, and stripping the player of any weapons makes for a genuinely anxiety inducing experience, it's upsetting how aside from OWB the rest of the DLC's kinda pale in comparison or just aren't anywhere near as memorable imo

I don't replay NV much on it's own without DLC mostly out of having seen everything it has to offer without mods but OWB is one of the best parts of the game, hands down, both mechanically and writing wise it's just miniature NV but with less bloat and clutter
