Irons out almost all of the flaws of the first game and creates a bite-sized high-adrenaline experience. I'm still a bit eye-rolly about the horror elements, but they're nowhere near as obnoxious as in the first game, so whatever.

Definetly better than the 1st game and its also $1 just like its predecessor
Its still pretty short but I had fun

Lo mismo que la review del anterior

Um... I love this game so much.

There's that trend of making 3d mascot platformers that are these huge AAA collectathon affairs. Then there is the quick speedy delight of Toree... where you go through beautiful low polygon levels in like an hour. The whole thing is glorious and the APPROPRIATE amount of effort has been given to the 3d mascot platformer.

Perfect ending 10/10
Great music too!

Simple, slick, cute bouncin' action.

You know what? I am a fan of a franchise with games that are a buck each! When is 3 releasing???? I would totally recommend this game. It improves upon a lot of things from the first, but there is one thing it didn't do. I'll get that out of the way. It was too easy. The first game had a challenge with those annoying moving vehicles you have to jump on and some of the levels were harder. This game doesn't have as much of a challenge and most of the levels don't have moving platforms to jump on. I also think it needed a bit more variety. It did introduce something new that wasn't in the first, but when it comes to the platforms, it's generic. The first had ice to run on and more things like that, but this game doesn't really have much of that. I like the added green jump shooter though. If it wasn't there this game would've been bland. But other than that I enjoyed it. I think the game fixed my problem with the ending of the first where it actually has a boss fight giving the game a nice climax. I also thought that the game ran a bit smoother than the previous one. My biggest improvement though is there is more than running and jumping. The first game was only that along with collecting stars, but there wasn't much else. This one had an attack when you walk through the green wire where you can attack enemies. It gives you something else to do. Obviously there is the boss fight too, but in the main levels it added something. I think that if the developers combined this and Toree 3D, with some improvements in difficulty and variety with 2, then this could've been a nice two hour game. That could fix my problem with the end of 3D and the problems with 2. In the end, for a buck it was great and I made way too long a review for a one dollar indie game on Switch. I highly recommend this and Toree 3D. Release Toree 3!

GRADE
B

Toree is back baybeee
Similarly to the previous entry, it's nothing revolutionary but still a well done game especially for its low price. Basically every aspect of the game has been improved.

I'm still surprised that this is somehow better than luigi's mansion 3

The levels feel a lot more fun/refined here.

If it keeps getting better each installment, this may be FNAF but for platformers instead of horror.

Kinda just more of the same as the first. Nothing special but it literally costs 1 dollar for a solid but really short 3d platformer. Maybe slightly better level design and polish than the first, but also arguably shorter than the first. Also, lowkey a horror game

They took my mans ice cream again

Improves upon everything in the original, great little game. Sparkle Park's song is legit really good wtf also there were sonic rush samples

Pretty similar to the first. Still great for a dollar.

Very pog just like the first, harder to get S

best game of 2021. it's perfect on what it sets out to be, which is the best "simple moveset" 3D platformer
ever. left me with no words.

the switch version is better than the PC version, because you can use L and R to control the camera.

Still a fun breezy time for a super cheap price. I'm not sure its quite as good as the original, the level designs as a whole just don't click with me as much as the original ones did. Also the end-boss is a GIANT jerk. Its still worth getting for those who want a neat little bit of bite-sized nostalgia.

Doesn't even have the creepy atmosphere from the og game

wtf im a toree fan now

Better in every aspect to the first game.

Improved on the level design by focusing on speed and removing all the objects that had you stopping for seconds in its prequel such as fans, elevators, the need to wait for some platforms to get closer and the list goes on...

The music is also better in here, Sparkle Park was a banger.

At the end of the game they added a Klonoa-esque boss battle which I thought was great for a change.

Like its prequel, this game can be completed in less than an hour and it's $1.

A nice sequel. I prefer the first game because to me it felt more charming although I do like how this one actually ends with a boss fight and seems a bit better for speed running.

An expertly made 3D platformer with great aesthetics. It's fast, it's quick, it's everything I'd expect for a dollar. There's zero reason for you not to try out Toree. It's only a dollar and it's really good, ya cheapo!

Not bad, not bad. I'd be more inclined to call Sonic Adventure a good game if it was also 30 minutes long.

Take notes Sonic Team.

A direct improvement over the first game in practically every way. Still super short but the levels are much speedier and thrilling to play through. I would really love if this series eventually got a more full experience, this game is absolutely worth the price of admission with how cheap it is but it feels like it just barely taps into its potential.

It's fine. Just as mediocre and forgettable as its predecessor. Not bad for a dollar, though.
