Favorite Video Game Weapons

Rules for this list:

1). One weapon per franchise, in addition only two honourable mentions at most. Otherwise I'd be here all day.
2). A weapon can be on this list for any reason. Whether it's the design, the gameplay, the story significance, it can be anything. Personally, this list is primarily based on what I find fun to use in a game but that may not always be the case.
3). Going to limit it to games I've played. I may have included the Marksman from UltraKill if I played it, cause that is a strong contender otherwise.
4). This is not ranked.

Loved to hear your favorites!

Celestial Claw - "Rocket launchers are fun, but what if you shot planets instead?" I'd say that's one of the best ideas for a weapon yet. And going into the game's super mode where the planets turn into suns instead is just the icing on the cake.

Honorable Mentions: Whisper's Edge
Dead End Express - A chainsaw train sword. I feel like I shouldn't have to explain more then that.

Honorable Mentions: Takemikazuchi, & Chain Chomp
Bloodletter - I love running a strength bloodtinge build, mainly to utilize the cannon. So I was absolutely delighted to find this beast (HA!) in the DLC and I standby it being one most brutal weapons in any game. Love the range on it especially.

Honorable Mentions: Hunters Axe, & Beast Cutter
Lobber - Didn't mind how awkward this one was. Loved its power, and I found that it was able to hit a lot of bosses from relative safety more then you'd think. I kept it on for most of my playthroughs.

Honorable Mentions: Roundabout, & Crackshot
Great Club - The weapon I mained during my first (successful) playthrough, and I'm so glad it's been a mainstay in the series ever since. When I first played Dark Souls I thought bosses had way too much health and wanted to kill them faster then they could kill me. Nowadays I feel Dark Souls 1 actually has bosses with too low of HP, but when your new it certainly doesn't feel like that.

Honorable Mentions: Dragon Tooth, & Giant Door Shield (D.S. III)
Sword of Metal King - I own the IOS version of this game, so I decided on a boring day to grind the casino. I wanted the Monster Magnet but a lucky jackpot allowed me to purchase four of these tools of destruction for my party of slimes. Yeah the games challenge after that took a nose dive, but no less enjoyable.

Honorable Mentions: Poison Needle, & Falcon Blade
Hunting Rifle - Wasn't expecting to love the sniper weapon of a game more then the big explosive weapon, but here we are. Found myself using it all the time, it made many encounters so much more manageable when you don't have to get close to them at all. The sound effects really sell force of every snipe.
Honorable Mentions: Riveter, & Dual Wielding Shotguns
Bound Sword - As a kid I'd always be using the conjuration skill as it was one of the easiest magic skills to level up. Years later I then read up on a glitch that allows you to permanently keep the Bound Sword which otherwise is on a timer, and to then discover it's literally the best sword in the game is just... Oblivion is a broken game already but now it is crying on the floor after finding this out. Honestly, it's a bug reason why I still love it. (I'm keeping that spelling mistake)

Honorable Mentions: Umbra
MFC Cluster - As an explosives main I was going to put the iconic Fat Man here, but then I remembered the MFC cluster which I feel is one of the more underrated weapons. It's essentially just six motion activated grenades in a bundle, and that's it. But when you have perks to increase the size of explosions and toss these towards a crowd of enemies, it is just so satisfying watching these huge green lightning bursts just cover everything.

Honorable Mentions: Fat Man, & Mercy
Twin Fists - Love the speed these have. Rapid punching then swiftly dodging behind the fiends while continuing the flurry of fists is something I may never grow tired of.
Honorable Mentions: Adamant Rail, & Holy Excalibur
Peace Maker - Really liked how this weapon was teased in the second game before eventually getting your own. Helps that this is one hell of a powerhouse. Love the lightning that arcs from enemy to enemy, and having to charge the gun, I feel, makes it a lot more gratifying when landing a shot.

Honorable Mentions: Beam Reflexor, & Plasmite RPG
Bear Claws - Fused these claws that really helped through beating the game on 9.0 (A.K.A the hardest difficulty). Love how hard these things hit while not being painfully slow. And having bear hands in every cutscene is very amusing.

Honorable Mentions: Magnus Club, & Gaol Blade
Ultima Weapon (KH III) - One of the most insane looking weapons on this list when using formchange. Summoning hundreds of swords that shreds everything is a great reward for obtaining the best weapon in the game.

Honorable Mentions: Metal Chocobo (KH I), & Oblivion
Korok Leaf - I love huge destructive weapons in games, but I sometimes love the niche, utility focused ones more. I can't begin to count the amount of things you can do with the leaf, one of my favorite ones to blow Bokoblins around just to be a jerk to them.

Honorable Mentions: Savage Lynel Crusher
Switch Axe - Was fooled by the inflated attack values from 4 Ultimate that made the switch axe seem mega powerful, but honestly I don't mind now since I seriously love this weapon. Was so stoked when they introduced the mechanic of clinging onto the monster while overcharging a explosion into their face, man I never get tired of that.

Honorable Mentions: Great Sword, & Lance
Scorpion Flail - A long range melee weapon where every swing produces an unreasonably large shockwave and shakes the screen. And why not also make it ridiculously fast, who cares about balance.

Honorable Mentions: Bouncer, & Mr. Zurkon (even if both are a bit overused)
Kaboomerang - Loved the sound effects on these rangs. Builds a great anticipation before detonating, and the explosion viusal effects are very gratifying. Also love how you throw the two boomerangs simultaneously, really cool touch.

Honroable Mentions: Multirang
Unite Hand - It's interesting how arguably the strongest weapon in the game is the one you start with. It has so much utility, the power of it is high, the sound effects are extra crunchy, and is used very creatively in the game's excellent cutscenes.

Honorable Mentions: Unite Bomb, & Unify Naginata

i came here with the explicit intent of taking the one in a million shot of finding the bouncer from ratchet and clank in this list bc it's one of my fave videogame weapons (ESP heavy bouncer) and i'm both surprised and happy it's here JLDFHGJF

@coralqueenkanans Yeah it's so much fun. It was neck and neck between it and scorpion flail, but the flail I felt was just the tiniest bit more satisfying with how stupid fast it was. But ask me the next day and I might pick the bouncer instead.
