When you'll get to Twilight Princess, I recommand the GameCube version or the HD remaster, but avoid the Wii version with its motion controls
(GC & Wii are almost identical, you don't even notice the graphics difference)

For Skyward Sword, there is absolutely no reason to play the original. The HD version on Switch fixed most of its issues, and you can even play SSHD without using motion controls at all 👍

@Armakeen Thank you so much! Yeah I really was trying to be able to play the HD version, but I may just have to settle for the Gamecube one. I watched my brother play some of the Wii version with motion controls and would certainly prefer just a regular controller lol. Good thing I picked up Skyward Sword HD on sale last year! Looking forward to those two since I have heard such good things about them. Will probably do TP next when I play my next Zelda game, appreciate the heads up!
