2021 Played and Ranked

Seeing as how I've not played many 2021 games this year, I'm trying something new!

Controlled burning to prevent the wildfire from spreading
Technically a replay, but VR was transformative enough that I feel like it's simply Better. What a good time, regardless!
Let's go down the waterfall
my rosary just said "damn bitch you live like this"
My first full playthrough of a game I've been variably-obsessed with since da teen years. It felt: good.
Wow, this Kamiya guy knows what he's doing. Might wanna keep an eye on him.
If I was raised with this game, I would be so much cooler.
Hmm today I will play an RPGMaker game about anxiety and societal expectations

Clueless ---->
Yo, I think I love Fortune Street? I hate monopoly, but this rules? Also, Vivi is there? And Yuna? Fuck yes??
Some people get upset when you say this game is a "roller coaster," but I'm here to say: roller coasters are rad.
Let 'er rip
I forgot to put this on the list for months
Didn't "play" it as much as I tried to do Akira 1-frame knees for half an hour. VF5 rules.
Not my first visit to the catacombs, but it is my first visit where the walls are a meme that says "Bitches call me Little Caesar's because I got low-quality meat but crazy bread."
Come for the acronym, stay for Luvia
"My leg" - Spongebob
Let's go to hell.
Dropped this like a bad habit, but I figured that was gonna happen. Still had a great time!
I gasped several times.
Kusoge can be great, but kusoge fighting games?? Another dimension entirely.
Solid, fun time. I should play it again and learn some cool stuff that I'm sure is there.

A little played out of a concept, don't you think?
сила
IT ALL TASTES GOOD
I think I like this more than most people? I dunno, I can reconcile the PICO-8 quirks and see this as a more technical and awkward (but in an interesting way!) platformer.

I like my platformers to feel like manual transmission cars so take that how you will.
Press the button in 3... 2... 1... Go!

...alright that didn't work.
Hard counter to bears: literature
I Saw Clock Tower Everywhere in 2020
another irresolute W for multiplayer flash-in-the-pans.
guy-from-the-50s-that-calls-women-toots simulator
Milquetoast, but milquetoast in a way that I was able to stomach for 20 hours or so.

In summation:

Sometimes you play games as a bit, and it only kinda lands.

The level select code is a paradiddle! Isn't that neat
Checks all the boxes
DNF, I'm just easily bored by platformers that rely on simplicity
Can you believe it took this long for me to play such a classic? Also, I didn't like it at all?
"Lmao this game's sick, I can't believe this exists"

5 min. later

"Alright, you wanna play something else yet"
Played this in a discord call with friends and was the only one that beat it. Built different.
This House Has Poopoo in It
One of the worst to ever do it!

Not my first playthrough, but was my first co-op experience. It was fun!

Still in beta, so no final thots. Enjoyed my time with it, though!

Did not play this to a satisfying degree, and bounced off hard due to its survival nature. We'll see what the future holds

I could pick apart each game but really the demo discs from this and last year are what they intend to be, and that's not definable by me.

Left unfinished, I wish this was The Sims 4's build/buy mode.
