Journey
2012
For context I played the two games in the order:
Ages > Seasons
I often hear the Ages is more puzzle focused, while Seasons focuses on the combat, by that description made me think they went all out in both games and almost put me off playing Seasons due to me not finding Zelda combat the most interesting combat system available. Yes Ages dungeons are super puzzle orientated while Seasons do have more combat rooms, the games still feel very much like Zelda games and tbh they aren’t as different as that led me to believe.
Seasons just feels idk more generic I guess. It still has some of that early Zelda charm, but the characters and world of Ages are crazy and amazing and I love it, while Seasons dork at really have any character outside of Link with a noteable amount of screen time and imo it suffers as a result.
However the magnet glove is my favourite Zelda item and the boss of the dungeon it is introduced in is also probably my favourite Zelda boss. The magic boomerang is definitely my favourite version of the Zelda boomerang.
In conclusion I feel saying “Ages is more puzzle focused, while Seasons is more combat focused” is a true statement, it looks over many of the differences between these two games.

Inside
2016
Rating: 9/10 - Amazing
While it does disappoint me to see Playdead not leaving their comfort zone and making a game that is very similar to their previous one, despite the 6 year gap, I do think that Inside is a more realized version of Limbo.
The themes and universe are better presented, the puzzles are more engaging and the set pieces are also more impressive.

Actually really enjoyed Toy Story, Big Hero 6, and Pirates worlds. Particularly Toy Story the characters all behaved as they should, if only Nomura was clever and self aware enough to leave Verum Rex a parody and not try and make the freaking thing lmao. Return to Olympus was a rough start even if graphically impressive, just a slow start enough to make me put the game down on initial release. Way too many mechanics crammed into this game, though I do love the move sets of some of the keyblades, particularly the Tangled and Monsters Inc ones. Not enough story between worlds, rough conclusion that’s basically unfinished bc of the 30 dollar DLC which I will not sink low enough to buy, even if I do want the Final Fantast fan service. No Sephiroth battle? What are we doing. Finished the game and all post game in around 43 hours :( still excited for 4 tho.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is probably the best 2D Zelda game ever made, even better than remake of Link's Awakening from the Nintendo Switch.
The combat here is near perfect. The boss battles are incredible.
I always felt kind of lost in all 2D Zelda and I didn't know where to go. In A Link Between Worlds, I always knew what to do. That's incredible because you have two worlds to visit and you always have to change from one to other to get to some places.
The story is problably the best of the franchise. You don't give much for it until the last cutscene.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is the best Nintendo 3DS game that I ever played. If you have the chance, play it.

Undertale
2015
Undertale has something that a lot of publishers lost over the years: HEART. I started this review not trying to make a joke with the heart mechanic on battles but now I have to start with it. =)
The battles are unique. It's not a classic RPG but the game has some elements of it... It's really hard to describe how the battles work but I can garantiee that's different and really fun. You have your regular attacks, items or you can talk with the enemy on your turns. On enemies' turn, you can dodge their attacks controlling a small heart in a box. It doesn't sound fun but it really is. Every battle is different and you have a lot of options to end it.
The story is simple but AMAZING and UNFORGETTABLE. It's incredible how a small developer could add alternative endings. Every battle will be important to your end. I can't say much to avoid spoilers but you are a kid that fell on a underground world full of monsters and trying to escape.
One thing that I have to say it's that you can see how much this project was important to its developer. I was playing Gears 5 at the same time I was playing Undertale and I could see the difference between something made only to make money and a game that tried to give a journey.
Please, give Undertale a chance. I hope that this review makes you full of DETERMINATION!
