This game was revolutionary for the genre.

Surprisingly fun shooting mechanics, and great atmosphere

The story is very memorable and it has some very iconic missions.

The multiplayer is very enjoyable, with great maps and guns.

Overall it's my favorite game in the series, this game has everything a Call of Duty game needs, it's the whole package.

Final Rating: "Great" ~ 8/10.

Absolutely mindblowing.
This game has one of the most complex narratives I've seen in a videogame, and by the end, it successfully manages to answer every single question you have, and this is what I call good writing.

The way the story is structured is very fascinating, having to replay the same sections but slowly gathering more information and creating new branching paths is such a clever idea to tell a story, and it never gets boring. Also the way the overarching story is connected via the character stories is incredible, some character arcs conclude inside other characters' arcs, and they make perfect sense.
Reading the mystery files also gives a ton of information about what is currently happening in the game, and it's very helpful.

Sadly the game has only one specific flaw, which is honestly quite major, and it's the gameplay. The Destruction mode itself is a decent idea, having combat in between keeps it fresh considering how the vast majority of the game consists of pure dialogue, however, the combat itself is very shallow and mediocre, even though it can be fun sometimes, there are barely any interesting mechanics, and it's frustratingly repetitive. It only gets worse when you are forced to progress the Destruction mode so you can progress the story because it hurts the pacing.

Personally I didn't expect to love this game that much, it's a very unique experience, the plot hooks you from the beginning and slowly unravels in a way I've never seen before, the overall story is just phenomenal, and the characters are very well written.

Final Rating: "Amazing" ~ 9/10.

The Complete Edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt makes this one of the most complete videogame experiences ever, with 2 amazing expansions and an insane amount of additional content.

An absolute monster of a videogame.
The main story is very well made with an exceptional cast of characters, and the writing is fantastic, everything in the game has depth to it.

The amount of content is absolutely ridiculous, at first you might get overwhelmed by all the activities the game throws at you, but exploring the map and doing side quests is definitely worth it, this game has perhaps the best side quests I've ever experienced, and the quest design is phenomenal.

The dialogue options are groundbreaking, almost every quest has different outcomes and interactions, it's insane. Your actions have consequences and if you're not careful, you can miss entire questlines that can alter your entire experience with the game.

Also I think it's worth mentioning how beautiful the soundtrack is, it's pretty much one of the highlights of the game and really sets the tone perfectly.

It's an all-around solid game, it does almost everything very well, except from the gameplay which is a little bit clunky so you'll have to get used to it.
The biggest problem I have with the game personally is the amount of filler and padding in the first half of the story, it's a slow burn and takes too long for the pacing to get good, however, even when it's slow, it's still great and has so many things to offer.

The Open World is one of the best I've ever explored, it's very enjoyable from start to finish, there are so many things to do in this game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt achieved the impossible, it's unbelievable how a small Polish studio managed to create a remarkable videogame like this one.

Final Rating: "Masterpiece" ~ 10/10.

What a magnificent spectacle this game is, I'm honestly in awe.
This was perhaps one of my most anticipated games, it looked absolutely phenomenal and I'm surprised how it actually lived up to the hype.

I was a little bit sceptical at first, because the gameplay felt very simple, but once you get the first 3 Eikons, it feels way better, the amount of abilities you get to unlock as you progress is kind of crazy, there are many Eikons to get by progressing the main story, and every single one has a different moveset, which makes combat feel fresh.

Also I've got to say, I was expecting the exploration to be way more restrictive but it's actually the opposite, there's a good amount of exploration, many side quests and areas to explore, and you can even hunt down monsters for materials to craft equipment. It takes a while for the game to open up though, it's very linear in the beginning, and has a lot of cutscenes that can be annoying, but once it opens up, it gets significantly better.

The story is one of my favorite stories the series has to offer, it's pretty dark and serious, has so many twists and turns, and arguably some of the highest peaks in any game I've ever played. The cutscenes are gorgeous and the boss fights are absolutely jaw-dropping, not only in terms of spectacle but also in terms of gameplay, they're so god damn fun, probably the highlight of the entire game.
Even the characters are very well written, Clive is undoubtedly my favorite character in the entire series, and the side characters are very likeable and relatable in many ways, you can really tell how much love and effort was put into creating this story overall.

As expected, the soundtrack is incredible, every track is beautiful and very much fitting, I found myself either humming some melodies or even singing along to some songs as I was playing.

What blew me away though is the Thousand Tomes, which works as some sort of a library for the game's world and lore where every single piece of information can be found there. It's honestly so important and useful, so much information and things to read so you can keep up with the story, learn about the characters, the monsters, the wars, the secrets of the world and pretty much everything the game has to offer. I actually reached the max level because I spend so much time collecting everything and it was a blast, for the first time ever in a videogame I genuinely loved reading, and finding new information was always very exciting.

That being said, I do have some issues with this game, with the most obvious one being the tedious side quests, which I did all of them yes, I spend way too much time in this game, it took me 87 hours to finish it because I did everything in the world and then finished the main story, and honestly... the side quests I genuinely liked were very few, specifically near the end of the game. Most side quests for like 80% of the game are actually kind of boring, they're not badly written, it's just that all of them are somewhat the same, you go somewhere, kill someone or collect something, go back to the person you first talked to, thats it.
Apart from the side quests being mostly tedious, the world doesn't have many things to offer, there's barely any endgame content, which is unfortunate.

However, my biggest issue with the game is the amount of fetch quests specifically in the middle of the story.
The game starts off very strong, but once you reach halfway through the story, the pacing slows down by a lot, and there's just a lot of random fetch quests that really kill the momentum, even though the pacing gets better shortly after, and the rest of the game has some of the most insane action I've ever seen in a videogame, the tonal shift is very noticeable.

Other than that, even with the issues it has, I'm in love with this game, playing it for the first time felt like a dream come true. What a beautiful experience, It's just so close to being a masterpiece.

Final Rating: "Amazing" ~ 9/10.

2018

The pinnacle of the indie genre, Hades is absolutely remarkable, and the perfect example of what makes a videogame "fun".
I really don't like the concept of Rogue-Like/Rogue-Lite games, but Hades was surprisingly enjoyable from start to finish.

The characters are the highlight of the game for sure, every character is very likeable, they all have their own personalities, and they really enhance the story of the game, which is very simple and all around just good.

The gameplay is fantastic, all the power ups and the Boons make it less repetitive, which is a big issue with Rogue-Like/Rogue-Lite games, and I love how Hades tries to stay away from repetitiveness as much as possible, by adding unique dialogue to almost every encounter, it's crazy how much effort was put into this game.

Also I love the soundtrack, it's has a unique old school arcadey vibe to it and fits perfectly with the game.

This is quite literally a flawless videogame, the only complain I have is that it's just not really my type of game, but the fact that I enjoyed it that much should tell you how stellar this game truly is.

Final Rating: "Amazing" ~ 9/10.

This game is something of a guilty pleasure for me.
The story is actually a decent story overall with some genuinely funny interactions, but also some deep messages and themes.

I really enjoyed the gameplay, it might look simple in the beginning but things get serious later on, with the last 2-3 dungeons being somewhat more challenging than the rest. The only downside to it is that it's quite repetitive, not only the puzzles but even hanging out at the bar, unfortunately the things you can do in the game aren't that many, it's very linear.

As for the soundtrack, it's so good! Very unique and charming, adds a lot of personality to the game's atmosphere and vibe.

Lastly, there's a decent amount of content, the various challenges and even the multiplayer mode, which is more than enough for a game like this.

However, I do think that the game is outdated in some ways, the character's movement feels clunky, the 2D animation is choppy and the facial expressions are strange to say the least.

I finished this game in one sitting with no breaks, and it took me 14 hours. It was very fun from start to finish, which is a very big compliment considering how I've never played a game similar to Catherine before, it truly is a very one-of-a-kind game.

Final Rating: "Great" ~ 8/10.

The best way to enjoy this game, the additional content not only gives closure to the overarching story, but it also connects this game with the previous games, making it a very complete package.

To Infinity and Beyond.
BioShock Infinite is gorgeous, it has some of the best world-building in any videogame, and a very unique artstyle that makes it look special and timeless.

The story's premise is very interesting, it touches some controversial topics, but what I like the most about the game is the 2 main characters, they are the heart and soul of the story and carry the entire game all the way to the end.

As for the gameplay, it's pretty good, the shooting feels heavy and responsive, and the vigors add some depth to it, all in all I'm satisfied.

Unfortunately though, the mission structure is quite repetitive, and combined with the questionable pacing, the game feels longer than intended, also the late game difficulty spike felt tedious and unnecessary.

This is a very solid game overall, it's full of style and flair, the focus on being a fast paced First Person Shooter game is definitely a big departure from the toned down, dark and grounded nature of the previous games. Where Infinite lacks the horror and more experimental gameplay mechanics, it makes up with the improved fast paced shooting and environmental combat.

Final Rating: "Great" ~ 8/10.

An Artistic Masterpiece.
Breath of the Wild is the most enjoyable Open World videogame I have ever had the pleasure of playing, its world is just so fun to explore, at this point I've played the game for hundreds of hours and I enjoyed every single second of it.

It's a very rewarding experience, and the world is very dynamic and absolutely massive with so many secrets and details, everything works as intended, which results in a masterfully crafted world full of life.

Finding shrines, doing puzzles, clearing camps and endlessly exploring the lands always feels fresh, there's a good amount of content within this game, and despite its repetitive nature, the game never actually gets repetitive.

As for the combat, it's decent, it might feel clunky at first but everything gets better once you get used to the controls, and the weapon durability system is actually necessary, the game forces you to explore and collect random unique weapons than just using 1 weapon all the time, and personally I find it pretty clever.

When it comes to the physics, I have to say... oh my freaking god, the attention to detail is groundbreaking, and the way every little thing coexists and interacts with each other is absolutely revolutionary. There has never been another game that has so much attention to detail and insane physics that are a vital part of the gameplay, in a way, this entire game feels like an amusement park where you can do everything you wish to do, for example: you can freeze and enemy like an ice cube, you can stop an enemy from throwing a rock, you can make them throw their weapons and pick it up youself, objects made of wood get set on fire quickly and melt, you can blow air on a raft and guide it to go to a certain direction, you can bake cooking ingredients by throwing them in the fire, you can cut down a tree and walk on top of it to go to the other side, you can get struck by lightning if you're under a tree or hold weapons made of metallic parts, holding a torch warms you up in the cold areas, staying in the shadows cools you down in the desert... and so much more, literally everything you can imagine, and wow, just wow... this game genuinely left me speechless and surprised me for the most part, I have never explored a world so alive ever before.

There are so many things you can do, so many ways to interact with the world, use the environment as a tool or a weapon, play around with the Runes, solve puzzles in very creative ways and so much more. This game makes you think outside of the game, it treats the player as a smart person and gives you time to think before you act.

The only issue I have with the game is the lack of enemy variety and re-skinned boss fights, for a world as big as this, you'd expect a large variety of monsters to roam around but that's not the case unfortunately.

Breath of the Wild is a revolutionary game, a classic that changed the Open World formula forever, which inspired many other games to follow its steps. All I can say is that this is one of the best videogames ever created, pure joy from beginning to end, what a beautiful and special videogame.

Final Rating: "Masterpiece" ~ 10/10.

A very special and unique videogame experience.
One of the most depressing, complex, and deep stories I've had the pleasure of playing through, I love the subtlety, the symbolisms, the foreshadowing and relatable characters. It's a very well written game, it's aware of the themes it touches, and it gets even better when you replay the game to get the full story.

The gameplay is good, the abilities are fun to use, and the combos are satisfying, however, you unlock most things pretty early in the game, so it can get repetive after a while.

The new rearranged music is incredible, better than the original, and dare I say one of my favorite videogame soundtracks ever, absolutely beautiful.

If there is one thing that bothered me personally, is the amount of backtracking you have to do in the main story. Running back and forth, visiting the same areas multiple times, sometimes for unnecessary reasons, can get tiresome.

Overall this is an outstanding Remake, and easily the best way to experience this game.
It has few outdated elements like the fact that you need to collect all the weapons in the game in order to get the true ending which can be very exhausting, or the generic side quests, but it's still a phenomenal experience, and the new additional story related content is worth checking out.
Just for the story alone, it's worth playing through, at least twice, trust me.

Final Rating: "Amazing" ~ 9/10.

I'm so glad that I've finally experienced this legendary game, it's definitely the best old Final Fantasy game I've played.

The gameplay is surprisingly decent albeit slow and outdated in some aspects, but the beautiful story makes the experience worthwhile.

The characters are interesting and likable, some of them could have had more development but the main cast is great.

The music is brilliant, arguably one of the most iconic soundtracks in videogame history.

The only things I disliked about the game are the annoying minigames that affect the pacing, and the unnecessary filler in the middle of the game, but other than that there isn't anything else that bothered me that much.

Even after all those years, this game managed to surprise me and even make me feel emotional, it's such a big game, and probably even a masterpiece for its time, I'm honestly impressed.

Final Rating: "Amazing" ~ 9/10.

One of the most special and unique games I've ever played.
The story is masterfully crafted with some very interesting characters, and the writing is genius, the constant fourth wall break is spot on! I don't want to spoil it for you, but I can safely say that this is one of the best stories I've ever experienced, I haven't played a game that tells a tragic story in such a special way ever before.

Once you finish the first playthrough, you'll need to load from your save data to play the second playthrough and then the third playthrough to experience the whole game, and the payoff is definitely worth it.

The gameplay mechanics are incredible too, it constantly switches genres on-the-go, and it's full of surprises. My only complain is the hacking minigame, it's a slog and sometimes you are forced to do it.

Last but not least, the music is absolutely phenomenal, one of the best soundtracks ever, absolutely perfect for the game.

This game is an unforgettable masterpiece, a true gem within the videogame industry that sticks with you forever.

Final Rating: "Masterpiece" ~ 10/10.

An improvement over the first game in every way possible, Gears of War 2 is definitely the best game in the series.

It's a ruthless game, full of violence, gore and action.
The story is pretty interesting for the most part, nothing special but it does depict the atrocities of war very well.

The gameplay is enjoyable, it's a brutal fast paced cover shooter with a good amount of creative weapons to use.

The dark atmosphere sets the tone of the game perfectly, and it can be quite scary at times. There are many different areas that you visit throughout the campaign, and each area looks unique.

Last but not least, the boss fights are jaw-dropping!
This really is an Epic game after all.

Final Rating: "Amazing" ~ 9/10.

League of Legends is insanely huge, it's one of the most successful and popular games of all time for good reasons.

It's a fantastic game, very fun to play with a rich lore, phenomenal character design, great music and creative ideas, unfortunately brought down by its own toxic community and development team.

There are so many fascinating gameplay mechanics but the balancing issues are very obvious from a mile away.

And it's worth to mention that the learning curve is pretty high, so a newcomer might not enjoy it very much.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for this game even though it can be a mess sometimes, it's part of my childhood and I respect it.

Final Rating: "Amazing" ~ 9/10.

The Game of the Year Edition offers the definitive Bloodborne experience, The Old Hunters Expansion is a must-play if you own Bloodborne, and it elevates the game to new heights.

Bloodborne was my very first FromSoftware game, and having no prior experience from their past games I expected to have a hard time with it.

So did it live up to the hype? Yeah, I really enjoyed it, in fact at times I wanted it to be more difficult, but overall I think that it's fairly challenging, it knows when to punish you and it knows when to reward you.

I loved the gameplay, it's extremely fun with some creative mechanics, and the amazing trick weapons. The first area is quite rough but once you manage to understand how some of the mechanics work, then it's just a joy to play.

The worldbuilding is breathtaking, and the way the world changes when you have more insight is absolutely genius. There's a lot of content, exploring the different areas, uncovering secrets, finding shortcuts, interacting with the characters, completing side stories and taking your time with the game feels very rewarding.

The atmosphere is unrivaled, it's scary and haunting but also beautiful in a very dark way. I absolutely adore the Gothic-Cosmic Horror theme and the Victorian-era inspired architecture, possibly my favorite setting in any videogame.

The monsters look terrifying, some very interesting designs and nice symbolisms, I personally got to kill every single boss - even the optional bosses - and I really liked most of them, they require strategy and quick reflexes.

The Blood Vial farming is very obnoxious in the beginning, but it's not a big issue once you progress halfway through the game. Having to manage your resources becomes more of a secondary distraction, and the rally mechanic allows you to heal while playing aggressively.

Now, where the game disappointed me is the second half of the main campaign, the boss fights not only get progressively easier, but the quality of the game falls a little bit.

Also I want to point out that the lore is very intriguing and rich, full of mini stories, the way everything connects together is what makes it truly special.

Overall I genuinely enjoyed this game, it really is an exceptional experience, especially if you're a fan of the genre, it's pretty close to perfection.

Final Rating: "Excellent" ~ 9.5/10.

A dream come true.
Rebirth is an evolution, an improvement from the first game in every single way, a true sequel, and a mind-blowing remake.

I'm absolutely amazed, I didn't expect a game this big, with so much content, a crazy amount of mini-games, and an actual open world map where you can travel seamlessly to other continents and get distracted by random side activities, it's genuinely insane.

What surprised me the most though is the fact that combat feels better than ever, the gameplay mechanics are deep, there are so many new materia to use, combos last for way longer, and the addition of the aerial combat helps a ton.
It's worth mentioning that this game is actually quite challenging sometimes, I really had to think a lot and play strategically, which is fun obviously, however, I noticed a small difficulty spike near the end, but the epic spectacle fights and gorgeous visuals made every encounter worthwhile.

Also, I just have to mention how phenomenal the soundtrack is, like wow, the entire soundtrack features over 400 songs, which is wild!

As for the story, at first I was somewhat worried about the new direction it took, but as I kept playing, I noticed that for the vast majority of the game, the story is very faithful to the original game, and I'm glad! The characters are amazing, the side stories are beautiful, and almost everything was handled with love and respect, and I couldn't be happier.
That being said, the only issue I have with this game is the ending. I'm not going to spoil anything, but I just think that it's not executed very well, in fact it's kind of a mess sadly, I like some things about it, but overall it made the story even more confusing than before, and took away all the emotional impact from the original game. Ultimately, it doesn't really affect or ruin the overall game because it's just 1 chapter in a game that's around 40-50 hours long, and also, this game only covers the middle part of the original story, so there are many things left unanswered, which means that I still don't have a definitive opinion yet, since many things are going to be answered in the sequel.

I absolutely love this game, it's a JRPG masterpiece and the best Remake I've played to date, it surpassed its predecessor, and I cannot wait for the third and final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Trilogy Project.

Final Rating: "Excellent" ~ 9.5/10.
