I've been looking at this list for a while trying to figure out what exactly is my taste with them. And I think I've come to a surprising conclusion.

It's Gothic. Plus usage of white and black

Which is wild to me since I don't really think about that genre much but most of the covers here emulate that style so it just has to be right. But what I'm more confused about is the color. White and Black are easily my most disliked colors. But they're on every single cover on this list....
