Not as sluggish or demented looking as the previous, feels a bit sleeker and fluid. Yet it still feels blocky at times and not as fast as we need it to be.

A fall backwards from 2, especially with the roster being one of the weakest in the franchise. The gameplay is the biggest/best standout, although at times the unbalanced nature of the roster makes it tough to find a fighter that'll leave you with a fair-feeling chance of grinding through the towers.

Unintentionally creepy, awkward and sludgy, but somehow still works for the origin of the 2nd best fighting game series.

The primary reason I wasn't a Mario kid.

1993

A small handful of games left staples of fear and anxiety in my brain as a small child. DOOM was one of them.

Doubled everything and sharpened it from the first. More fighters, more moves, more arenas, and more blood. MKII is the peak of the Arcade era.

The best music in the original trilogy, and its bare bones nature allows for such a fun experience for a bit of time. Perhaps the most memorable roster of characters that are so well known in pop culture. Possible the greatest fighting game template ever created!

Insanely fun, colorful and primitive roster, vibrant gameplay, and honestly the best SF game I've personally played.

The cornerstone for most gamers. Can't say anything bad about or else you get sacked.

Insanely underrated, and needs a remake/remaster/sequel BAD. What a phenomenal game and experience

Am I wrong?
I remember this game being quite sluggish and off. I recall the voice acting being horrid and the gameplay not flowing with me, especially being heavily involved with COD at the time of release.

Hands down my favorite MK title. Its a bold choice, especially with how divisive the roster is, the 3D fight style, the cringeworthy dialogue, and a smaller crypt. Yet, it still manages to solidfy itself as the most content rich MK title with an endless barage of fun and deep diving that the Konquest mode allows. I'll be playing this again soon, but its without a doubt the best PS2 game and my personal pick for best MK

I spent more time raging, rather than having a blast while playing this.

The beginning of a franchise that is uneven in quality, but radical as hell for its ambition and ideas!

Felt like melted vanilla Ultimate Alliance
