I don't view this as a step down from the first game in the series, but rather nothing really advances from here. While I love the new cast members, the cases in this game just aren't too interesting to me, even in the finale case. I just wish the game had more going on. It feels like it was playing a bit safe before going wild in the next game.

This game is really strong. It provides a fantastic base for a series, a large cast of characters we can see in a variety of situations, and a story that manages to balance humor and drama perfectly. I just wish some of the cases were tighter and frankly Edgeworth doesn't work well as a main villain.

Your enjoyment of this game highly depends on how much hell you want to put yourself through and whether or not if you could beat it before you've reached your limit

This is a fantastic game, but a very dense one. It definitely feels like of those type of things that improves each time you play it, but getting into the habit of playing it multiple times maybe hard because of how heavy it can initially. But once you know your way around it this baby gets running. I just kind of wish more was done story wise, cause the key plot of Ike punching racism across a contient is enough to make an even longer more fleshed out game out of

So much wasted potential. It had a good cast, a great potential plot, a return to form for so many characters; however, none of it is capitalized on. It is fun to play but the overall experience is lackluster. If you need something to turn your brain off to while you listen to college lectures then this is it

There is probably nothing interesting I can say about SotN in this format. So I just will say it while it probably is the best Castlevania game, it isn't my favorite. I think it is because I don't like how Alucard handles compared to a Belmont.

Second verse, same as the first. This is only slightly better compared to the first game for the gameboy. In the end tho, it just wasn't a system that fit the series.

THIS GAME REQUIRES YOU TO PLAY THE LAST WITHOUT GETTING HIT ONCE TO BEAT THE BOSS, SCREW YOU 1989 GAMEBOY TITLES

Honestly, I feel like this game deserves more attention. It basically refines all of the ideas from Harmony of Dissonance in a logical way. The story is nice too and could act well as a finale to the Castlevania saga. I really enjoy it and it solidifies how strong this era in Castlevania was.

I want to see this game but, bigger. Juste is great and his supporting cast compliments really well, the magic gimmick is really cool, the castle design is pretty strong. I feel like if this game had the scale of Symphony of the Night it would be regarded as a classic, but as it stands it is just a stepping stone to Aria of Sorrow

Banging music, cool graphics, and a fun storyline. Both Maria and Richter are fun to play and both have great designs. The problem is the game is super unforgiving to play as Richter, outside of his super abilities, Richter basically plays like an NES Castlevania protag, which can feel really jarring if you played Super Castlevania 4 before this

It is a really beautiful looking game with a lotta cool segments. However, the game kind of feels like an overblown tech demo. It is impressive none the less, but it doesn't lead to the best game place experiences. ALSO I GOT THIS WILD ASS GLITCH IN THE LAST LEVEL WHERE I HAD TO PLAY THE ENTIRE ANTI-GRAVITY SEGMENT WHILE EVERYTHING WAS INVISIBLE BUT I STILL PLAYED THROUGH AND BEAT IT AND EVERYTHING BECAME VISIBLE AGAIN, EAT SHIT YOU STUPID SEXY VAMPIRESS COUNTESS

SIMON BELMONT BECOMES EVEN BETTER AT KILLING STUFF VIA THE POWER OF MULTI-DIRECTIONAL WHIPPING! Though it does make things notably easier in some cases, people that want to be punished may want a different experience

This game is really too interesting outside of introducing Alucard. The character swapping is a cool idea but really limited by the tech of the time. Not too many of the settings or bosses stand out. But the final boss fight is really cool!

The only entertainment value you can gain from this game is the knowledge of how horrible Simon has brutalized Dracula and even if he wasn't the Belmont to finally end Drac's, you know he was the Belmont that put fear in Drac's flat ass
