The way how I describe Splatoon is. Paintball but it is actually fun. I kid, I kid. Splatoon 2 is the best multiplayer shooter I've ever played. It stands out for its rich and vibrant world and wild ass lore that complements the gameplay super well. It's something I will always revisit even if I don't play as often as I used to
What a brilliant, breath-taking experience that honestly takes that sandbox open-world game concept to its fullest. The story is great, I love how Link is characterized, and you just become so enraptured by the world you form a legit attachment to it. If you have the means play it and you probably won't regret it.

The problems are; the game just feels so far removed from everything on an aesthetic level, they don't balance their huge cast of characters well to make feel invested in all of them as characters, and the game really only feels designed around Nero leading to the other characters feeling like they are just there when you mess with them gameplay wise. I LOVE FINALLY BEING ABLE TO PLAY TRISH IN A GOOD GAME THO
You've got nothing and nothing's got you! I see your fear it surrounds you!
What a wonderful classic game, but when you get used to some of the quality of life improvements of the later games it'll make revisiting this one a challenge. It's still a fun experience and I love the depth it gave to Dante as a character

Another great part of the Yakuza saga. Kiryu is super strong as a character as always, but you can tell this is still very early on in the series cause Kiryu does things he would normally do in later stuff, not because of character development but rather how the changed the core of his being. The gameplay was fun, but a few more standout side stories would've been nice.

I may be in the minority here when I say I enjoy the Kiryu portions a lot more than the Majima portions. Kiryu's supporting cast, rivals, and arc is a lot more interesting to follow compared to Majima who as a character I don't feel comes into his own until much later on. Gameplay is a bit fun albeit basic and the end game drags a bit.
