Zelda, Kirby, Pokémon, Donkey Kong, and Viewtiful Joe all had animated series. Tekken and Resident Evil have had animated movies. So have Dragon Age and Mass Effect.

The Zone of the Enders anime came out around the same time as the game.

Oh, Halo: Legends was dope

Namco time!

The Tower of Druaga (12-episode series that was reportedly awful), THE iDOLM@STER 2 (25 episodes + OVA), THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls (same), THE iDOLM@STER SideM (13 episodes + a special episode; misandry clearly at work), Wonder Momo (5 mini-episodes, these are genuinely terrible), and maybe the ShiftyLook Mappy cartoon if you stretch the definition of animation a bit?
There's also THE iDOLM@STER Xenoglossia, but counting that would be like including a hypothetically animated version of the Super Mario Bros. movie.

Aside from that, there's the Ace Attorney anime, which apparently adapts the first three games over 47 episodes.

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse should be on here, since it is what the Castlevania Netflix series is based on. Pokemon, of course, has an anime season for essentially every main game.

Trails in the Sky has a 2-episode OVA from 2011, FE1 has a 2-episode OVA from 1996, F-Zero: GP Legend's 51 episode anime came out before the game but F-Zero was a game beforehand and the inspiration for making it so ???, Halo Legends was a collection of 9 animated short films about Halo, Dragon Quest has had many adaptations but Dragon Quest: Your Story specifically uses Dragon Quest V (even if it includes a twist). Street Fighter has multiple animated series, such as the cartoon or anime film Street Fighter Alpha: Generations.

In the world of Visual Novels: Kanon, Clannad, Air, Planetarian, Little Busters, Rewrite and Angel Beats all got anime adaptations. Umineko and Higurashi also got anime adaptions. Steins;Gate got an anime adaptations that I'm actually in the middle of watching! Chaos;Head also got an anime series, along with Robotics;Notes. Dies Irae got an anime so bad it basically killed the company. Danganronpa got a 13-episode anime adaptation of the third game, Sakura Wars got a 25-episode anime in the 90s. School Days of course got a pretty infamous anime.

There's certainly many more I can think up, but this is what I have for now, hope it's useful!

The Pokemon series has an anime to promote it. You can use Pokemon Yellow as a cover for this.
