It's much better with the death ring, but still, good ass game.

Jamming to simons theme forever and nobody can stop me

Lots of love poured into this game. Probably was a bit too ambitious with its map being as big as it is, and it doesn't even try to be balanced, but that's fine. It's Fun.

Some cool sprite art, but the metroidvania elements are really weak and boring and the story reads like someone is staring at a thesaurus the whole time.

Yeah it's honestly pretty good. More gameplay than the average walking sim with pretty mature, well thought out approach to the topics it covers. Think I could do without the very mashy gameplay at times, but it is needed for what its going for. Some of the songs are sick.

Honestly this game feels more like a Zelda dungeon crawler with some metroidvania elements than a full on metroidvania, but that's fine. Much, much improved combat from the first game, but still pretty underdeveloped in that respect. Blatantly ripping charms from Hollow Knight was an okay move, but I wish there were more buttons for skills. More interactive platforming than the first, too.

Story is... trying a bit too hard for what it is, I think, but it gets the point across.

A fun themepark overall. Ori is one of the most absurdly mobile and creative characters to pilot around, so much so that the actual level design just kind of falls by the wayside. You never really have to interact with much, especially if you get triple jump. The combats a snooze, aswell.

The story is prettyt forgettable and the lack of visual flair from the first game is sad, but it's overall a lot more of a solid game from a gameplay standpoint than the first game, and doesn't quite explode in the endgame like the first does either.

Has an amazing start; Begins like a resident evil 4 that stayed true to its horror routes, but devolves into constant set pieces with... neat visuals, I guess, and the gameplay goes out the window.

I really didn't like any of the other characters besides Yunica, it felt like they just broke the game in boring ways, but the outside of that it's good as hell.

Great soundtrack, fun bosses. It's YS at its finest. I found the mooks were pretty... boring, though, and there really isn't a ton of depth in the system, but despite that, it is SUPER rewarding to become good at all the nooks and crannies.

My major problem with this game is that I prefer having one, small party as opposed to a sprawling village of victims I'm going to get killed. It can also be a bit grindy, especially in the middle where there isn't a lot happening. Fun game still, though.

It's still the best 3d collecter, somehow, despite its age getting in the way. Honestly I think the second game has better abilities but the maps in this are better designed.

Pretty much same as the below poster. The writing is really good, but everything else is just kind of a worse version of what Skies would be.
