Heartbreaking: The Most Annoying People on the Internet Were Right

Oh anima effimera
che ti celi nel profondo dell'inganno,
chi hai continuato ad aspettare nel bosco deserto?

Privato di un'ala,
l'uccellino ha chiuso gli occhi in silenzio.

La sofferenza è svanita lontano;
ora l'uccellino non piange più.

Una morbida nebbia d'argento
Una morbida nebbia d'argento
avvolge teneramente ogni cosa.

Riposa, riposa in pace.

Quel giorno, quanti misteri
avrei dovuto risolvere per poterti portare via?

Riposa, riposa in pace.

Nell'illusione che hai creato,
ho conosciuto l'amore.

Non smetterò di pronunciare il tuo nome,
per continuare a dare vita ai tuoi desideri.

Che niente e nessuno ti trascini
nelle tenebre dell'oblio.

Riposa, riposa in pace.

A cautionary tale about sharing baths with your friends

What I really hope comes about from all this is another opportunity for CBU3 to develop a mainline FF game that builds on these fantastic foundations. Final Fantasy XVII could be a masterpiece, but this isn’t it.

Three of the best boss fights FROM has ever designed and Laurence

Really enjoy the translation mechanic and world design, but traversing the world is such a pain that I don't feel like going back for a 'better' ending. Especially when NG+ resets the map...

The anime may be one of the best visual novel adaptations ever (mostly thanks to Hiroshi Hamasaki's direction), but the original game lets you understand Okabe's madness more clearly.

Plus, there's routes for all of the other girls that never got adapted. I always thought Faris' should get more credit

Arcueid’s route really is quite excellent. Well-paced, fun fights, strong emotional payoff. And then you get to Ciel’s route, where I can’t help but feel like Nasu overcompensated for how underdeveloped her story was in the original game. There’s so much stuff in there that it becomes a bit of a slog, particularly in the lead up towards the true end.

Noel is a pretty good character but I think I would’ve preferred the two Far Side routes over a bloated Ciel story.

1993

An eternal classic thanks to its haunting atmosphere and otherworldly visuals. The FMV parts haven't aged well and some of the puzzles are a little frustrating, but it's worth slogging though.

The true genius of this game is somehow convincing you to do five playthroughs so by the end you kind of HAVE to like it really

Came for the memes, stayed for the murder mystery

We're Danganronpa fans, of course we hate Danganronpa

I won't scatter your sorrow to the heartless sea. I will always be with you. Plant your roots in me. I won't see you end as ashes. You're all diamonds.

I used to hate the fallibility of human memory until I realised you can play this masterpiece again once you forget about it
