An interesting metafictional story, where you try to survive through a story thats seemingly aleady written. Discovering the pages of the script telling you whats already happened or will happen is pretty cool, but wish that knowledge had more of an impact on the actual game. Speaking of which, the games a lot more combat centered than i first anticipated. I thought there would be more time spent exploring the town, but instead its mostly walking around and shooting spooky shadow men. The gameplay loop of using your flashlight in fights is able to hold the game up enough for its short length though, but does start to get a bit repetitive by the end.

Combat never really clicked with me but the story had me interested in a lot of its ideas, though i felt like it ended before it got a chance to do much with them. Music and art direction were stellar as always tho, excited to play through pyre next!!!

Creating funny found footage movies with your friends is a pretty great time, but gets kinda repetitive after a while. Would love to see the filming videos with friends concept pushed further in other games.

The game kinda reminds me of Drawn to Life. No idea if thats intentional, but i think its cute. Really cool game tho

I wasn't feeling great today, but this game actually cheered me up quite a bit. The first cassette level had me giggling when i first heard the music, but the game as a whole was really fun to explore. Highly recommend if you're feeling down and got an hour to spare.

Falling block/match 3 puzzle game, with a really unique twist to it. Rocketing the blocks instead of deleting them leads to a lot of new possibilities, that wouldnt be available in other games in the genre. The different planets keep an already really solid game fresh, with new factors to consider from just color block ratios, to entirely different gravity to adapt your playstyle to. Easy to get started, and a blast to master.

It's a 2.5 star, but like a good one. Conceptually the game is amazing in both gameplay and setting. The mix of ccg and real time battles is great, and it's post apocalyptic world filled with amnesiac espers is really unique. However i felt like finding missions by running around the hub to be tedious, though there is sometimes new dialogue from npc's. Some battles being kinda irritating, and enemies with dodge rolling being particularly annoying. It felt hard for me to be fully engaged in the game when i was stuck playing against a.i. in a game thats clearly made for multiplayer. It wouldn't have been as much of an issue if there was more of the story, which i did really enjoy, but only has any major advancements at the very end of each chapter. I would love to try out more games that have similar gameplay as this, because i feel like it can be done even better.

You can see the sparks of something great, however the game does not hold up the best. Most levels end up being corridors through repetitive rooms, with some really interesting scenarios every now and then. Combat and vehicles feel like theyre just not quite where they should be. The story presents a really interesting universe with different factions, full of fun writing, but doesn't show as much as I'd want to see. The music is incredible and stands out among everything else, and i only wish there was more of it in this game!

Short surreal game with a lot of endings, set in a limbo where nothing dies. I got most of the endings on my own, and they all end in a sort of contemplation on a variety of subjects from the developer.

Really great survival horror game, with some incredible atmosphere. Very intense throughout the majority of the game, but starts to feel a bit too easy towards the second half with an abundance of ammo and money. Story isnt too great, but i enjoyed the audio logs and piecing together the bits of lore strung around the ship.

One of the best looking NES games ive ever seen. The first game in the series to introduce copy abilities which add a much needed variety, especially with this game being longer than the first. Fun, lighthearted adventure anyone could enjoy!

Tony Hawk meets auto runner, and its a great combo

I wasnt sure if id enjoy the game when i first started since im normally not much of a high score chaser, and the controls seemed a bit awkward at first, especially with how many moves there are. After fumbling around for awhile it started to click and i had a fun time going through all the levels. I did often get buttons mixed up because of the different inputs you have to do in quick succesion, but i think that was more of a me problem. The challenges given to you on each level were a good motivator to get me to play better, besides just a higher score.

OlliOlli 2 builds upon the first game, allowing you to do manuals between grinds to continue your combos for longer, which adds a lot more depth to the game without over complicating it. The hollywood theme of the game allows it to go through a variety of locations with vastly different looks. I felt like the level design got more difficult compared to the first game, which works really well with these games being bundles together.

Simple and cute platformer that allows players of all skill levels to enjoy. Some creative uses of Kirby's inhale ability, and has a surprisingly difficult version of the game thats available for those that want a challenge.

Unique and very well designed combat system, that makes every fight engaging and satisfying. A fantastic historical japanese setting, mixed with mythological elements that make you feel like you're living through an ancient legend. The story is much more straightforward and simple compared to other Fromsoft games, but this keeps the game better focused on its central themes. The only faults i had with the game were minor, like some performance/visual issues.

Fun combat, that gives you lots of options to choose from. Story and world is very interesting and touches on some intriguing themes, with great narration to tell it to you with. Beautiful art style and awesome music to jam out to during fights, but also hits hard emotionally.
