God what a mood. The only reason this isnt 5 stars is because I'll be honest, if Im reading this much Id rather be reading a novel haha. This isnt tk say Roadwarden is poorely written as what it achieves is great, and the music and atmosphere are sublime. However, at a certain point a visual novel with this degree of RPG type choices will lose its focus a bit. I grew a little bored near the end, but I will be revisiting it as a staunch militaristic religious type in the future because the worldbuilding is remarkably open and locks you off from a ton due to its time constraint and choices you make. My choices were, of course, to be a hippie dippie pagan lol

is what it says on the box but you didnt know until now how good this shit can be

Virtually perfect. Full of soul <3

Why play a slower, heavier donkey kong with a lesser soundtrack and style when you can just actually play Donkey Kong?
If it wasnt such a direct homage, down to the exact same collectibles, I may have given it more than an hour. But alas, I just felt entirely unenthused by this.

Feel like shit just want Coolpunk back

Not me crying over Lil Gator Game 😭❤️

Idk like
The climax of this game is "stack the Tupperware to please the cat!"
So I loved it :)

2023

Cookin Mama with triple the soul 🥰

Great for a laugh and for cryin when your lil cheese stixs die

"Rising Sun" was destined for this game

Its called fun sweaty look it up

Thats the last time I ever ignore a request from the internet for my banking info

My husband and I had a ball playing this even if the UI around moving between rooms and areas really sucks and the anime vibes were sometimes a little much.
For weeks we were doing little bits and jokes about the gestures these characters have, and that soundtrack is just dopamineeee

Great fun and a few of the cases were genuinely tricky and inspired!

I really enjoyed my first playthrough and most of my second, but I ended up rage quitting when I realized how narrow most win conditions are. For a game with at least a dozen big ending beats and achievements, its funny how you can do 2 playthroughs with nearly opposite choices and careers and still end up with a broken family lol.

But I dont want this to sour the entire game. For the most part I still feel it is very well done and has a great story and atmosphere. There are tons of interesting avenues to explore, too. But basically what everyone says is true- the strict ganeplay does lock you out of many branching options. You practically have to make up your mind from year one and you almost cant achieve more than one thing per playthrough tbh

Perfect for what it is- a cute little game about making stickers and selling them to enthused customers. Very cozy but it doesnt have a ton of incentive to keep playing. Still had a fun couple of hours with it though :)

A great giggle in under 10 mins
