I really wanted to like this game as the art style is very unique and beautiful. However, I found the story to be lackluster and uninteresting, and way too dark for me. I was expecting the game to be more charming since it's about fantasy characters.

Play this game blind! It might not be for everyone and i will concede that the hype might make it a letdown for some people. Nonetheless, this was one of the most life changing games i've ever played.

The only thing i'll say is that there is no flavor text in this game, it all has purpose. You can finish the whole game with pure intuition and pattern recognition, but it can get really frustrating if you're ignoring all the text.

Genuinely one of the best concepts for a puzzle game i've ever seen. I was surprised in new ways on every level. Can get a bit broken or cruel at times but if you're thinking about playing this game i highly recommend going in blind.

Couldn't finish the game because the battle system and graphics started to get too irritating for me, but the romance system and the story is one of a kind and i definitely recommend.

Adorable comfy game. Not much else to say about it, other than it can feel slightly unbalanced / frustrating at times with the monster slimes, slimes escaping, or the chickens never reproducing fast enough for the "carnivore" slimes in my opinion.

But In general, it's simply adorable and good fun.

Super fun to play with friends, but unfortunately it gets a little boring to just sit on the boat doing little to nothing after a while.

I didn't find the DLC as engaging as the base game. I wish i played the DLC BEFORE finishing the base game, then i think i would have found it more worthwhile. But unfortunately, there's no going back.
[EDIT: There was a going back and it was really fun and worthwhile. Went from 3 stars to 4. Not that scary if you run into the owlk while singing superbase a couple times before actually committing to a run]

Controversial opinion on this game, but i loved it. The graphics and cinematic shots were beautiful, and i genuinely found almost every moment of it engaging.

HOWEVER: I highly recommend playing this game with 1-2 friends watching so it's easier to laugh off the more cringe moments and bizzare lore. It gets pretty ridiculous at times.

Ahhhh the nostalgia. Adorable characters / character designs. Hilarious and loveable villains, and a fun battle system. Looking forward to its continued release

One of those games that are good because they are addictive. In my opinion there are many other games with the same gameplay loop that are more enjoyable, but nonetheless this game is very fun to play with family and friends.

2008

One of my favorite games of all time from ages 10-17. I'm still waiting for someone to make a new game with this same concept, as spore is one of a kind to this day.

Life is Strange disguises itself as a "choices matter" game, with only 2 real endings. It's a good story (in theory) and I played it all the way through, but I didn't find it fun and it just left me with more questions than answers.

I also wish there was any warning for the extremely aggressive sexual assault / kidnapping scenes, as they made me genuinely nauseous and happened with very little leadup.

Great game to play while bored. Probably not as fun as an adult as it was when I was a kid, but i still find it fun to kill time.

Genuinely irritating how there's no option for same sex couples though.

Very controversial game, honestly it's one of my favorite in the series.

The shortness of it makes it the only game I managed to fully finish in the series. My biggest critique is that the combat is extremely repetitive and boring compared to either of the other games, and for some reason the game has you fighting "bandits" in the street constantly, which makes me feel weird about the sheer amount of humans i've slaughtered. Doesn't really make sense with the themes of the dragon age series.

I have once again been disappointed in a game made for children as a grown adult. It was very nostalgic though.
