Honestly was surprised at how charming this game was. And after getting invested in its world and characters I would love to see a sequel especially after that ending

It looks bad, it plays badly, it's absolutely the definition of kusoge, but it has so much soul. It's well aware of how utterly stupid of a premise it is and rolls with it. There are people walking around Akiba in bear costumes that you can rip off and I think that's hilarious. The fact that every NPC can aggro you and get dragged into your insane strip battles and that you have to complete a sidequest to stop them from attacking you the moment they see you is inspired.

I dunno, man. It's not a good game, not even a particularly well written one. It's talking about a version of Akibahara - that of a place that accepts anyone no matter their creed - that hasn't existed for years and was likely gone, or at the very least, was little more than a flickering flame when it came out. But I can't look past how much heart there is here. You don't have a 9 minute text scroll detailing the production history of your fake in-universe anime unless you are committed to the bit so hard that it's no longer a bit, it's just sincere.

Having played all three of the Akiba games, none of them are particularly good, but I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I only really started playing it because, after having played NEO TWEWY, I started looking for games that really make it feel like the city they take place in as much of a character as the actual characters in the game. I don't really have anything to go off for that other than vibes, but Akiba's Trip felt like it would fit that bill. It definitely did do that. Every criticism of this game being bad is valid, but it gave me better time than it had any right to

For the sick minds who thought what was missing from golf was Mario Party event spaces, this is the game for you; play with your friends and leave them completely shaken up afterwards

Neat clicker game with a cool aesthetic, fun enough to chip away over the course of about an hour at to hold my interest. It's pretty repetitive, but that's par for the course for a clicker game, and it does its concept well enough

An amazing game, I love it! It has a lot of emphasis on psychology, mental issues and the theme of self-acceptance, so for me it's a 10/10 <3 The world is cruel, but there are always people who care about us.

i think this was the first game i ever played. i remember watching my cousin play it on the toilet and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. it's pretty good.

aw come on what the heck? bottomless pits galore and some of the worst bosses in the sonic franchise make this a pretty smelly title. i also just hate how sonic looks on the cover art. come on guys.

the only dimps game that actually feels like it fits within the og trilogy. doesn't take a ton of risks, but it doesn't need to. speed on.

Great visual novel with clear "repetitivity" problems. Don't get me wrong, I loved Chaos;Head, but I think it's undeaniable that when Takumi complains about imagining things or being scared (with an amazing VA work behind) for the 5th time it starts to get tiring.

Nevertheless, I can complete see why people enjoy this VN. It has very shocking moments and a sense of tension that never fully quite comes. All the character routes are amazing, and I'll be honest I found the lack of moral bounds to be quite refreshing for a VN where the protagonist is such a shut-in.

"We all have a Takumi inside is, whether we give it form or not is a thing, an alter-ego of our conciousness, which knows no bounds."

alot of memories and met one of my best friends in it, but very p2w

bladerunner vibe and world except you can play in it for 60+ hours, wish johnny wasnt there to be honest but we make it work

An impressive level of depth to the protagonist’s character

Valve não faz jogo ruim, baita gameplay, baita sequencia, baita puzzles, baita historia e baita coop, final surpreendente e agora mais um game pra ser viúvo do 3, obrigado valve

This DLC's plot should've been saved for Arkham Knight, instead of what we actually got in that game.

wasn't sure about ripped pants episode. musical segment just felt too much ie too flashy, performative in your face etc.

Não da pra levar a sério esses bosses (com exceção do último), mas é bem soul o joguinho. Massa.

uncharted meets tomb raider. boring side characters but good shooting and exploration. best of the trilogy for the simplicity compared to the other two

Paper mario pro mode walked, so MQ, Dark Star etc could run.
It's an unfinished hack, as, gradually, the amount of new content decreases (i think Chapter 7 has no new content at all?). Thus, the difficult curve is very steep in the beginning, and flattens out radically at around Chapter 4.

Chapter 2 and 3 include pretty rad changes to the desert (which is still in MQ, btw) and the forest.

Historically, it's more of a tech demo for the (first) PM64 mod tool Star Rod.

A milestone, but as of 2024, I wouldn't replay it - there's simply way better mods out there both in terms of gameplay and design.

pretty darn good, though harder than i thought it'd be due to its baby art style. not really my type of thing, but i think for true strategyheads it will hold hours and hours of content.

Resident Evil 7 gets a 7!

The experience of this game is mostly dragged down by many smaller issues. The first person perspective gameplay feels like a mix of the older games and the RE 4-6 games. It can get a bit spooky and keep action at the same time which is cool. Speaking of spooky though, the games atmosphere is extremely omnious and I think if the game focused more on that, it would be better. I think a good example is one of my favorite games, Signalis, where the mood is atmospherically crushing on top of the feeling of not truly knowing what is happening. Signalis never jumps up on you, it just makes you feel unsettled. RE7 jumpscares you a lot, like way too much. Along with some of later areas taking advice from Dark Souls and putting traps all over. The game also gives you way too many resources, that or I have just gotten better at these survival horror games. I ended the game with 600 SMG bullets and 65 shotgun shells, and way more for other weapons too. My last complaint would probably be that the boss fights are awful. They aren't difficult, just stale and they drag on for way too long. Many of the boss fights aren't too involved, and some in the middle are just way too long.

In a way, this game feels like a modern revision of RE1, I mean, it even has the same exact shotgun "puzzle". Especially considering there is barely a trace of this game being set in the RE universe. I also think this is one of the worst stories in the franchise, because before, they would melt into the background but here, it's in dead center. The beginning is fine but once these character start talking, it gets progressively worse.

On the positive though, I really think this is the spookiest RE game I have played. I think that is partly due to the game not looking like a NES game. The music at moments can make events more tense and dreadful. I also enjoy the way guns feel, the shotgun is really chunky and hitting enemies with it is visceral and flashy. I also like that the puzzles aren't too obtuse in this one, considering I have had bad moments with some in the past, and hope some of the older games I play in the future don't have too many either.

Still though, I think it is worth playing. Some of the RE soul from 2 and 4 is missing but I believe it's because of the sharp transition in direction. It's not the most RE game, but it is a quality RE game.

O.K. MR. SUNSHINE!

the perfect sequel to the perfect game
