Absolutely simplistic but absolutely fun. The best kind of game to put on a IPhone.

If you like turn based strategy games like Fire Emblem you would like this game based on the demo I played. I don’t like turn based strategy games, but hey, at least I tried it.

Mario but he real and 2D. And he is also falling to his doom on the cover art.

That was a pretty fun little round of pinball I downloaded off the EShop. Have to go brush my teeth now; be back later.

If I was more into Metroidvanias I would probably like this a bit more, but as I am now, meh. It’s ok.

Update: Yeah no, this game kind of pissed me off with how much it loved not explaining anything to me. From forcing you to scan every bit of screen just to find where you can get a powerup, to its terrible wall-jumping mechanic, and not telling you that you can run with the B button, which is MANDATORY to get through the game...this game kind of killed my interest in the Metroid franchise, not gonna lie.

Literally Orwell's Animal Farm.

I can tell that this is a game that people would like; it's just not a game that I'm into. At least I gave the Dark Souls series a fair shot.

Update: Managed to beat the Tree Sentinel, and my first words after that were "Thanking fucking god I don't have to do that again." I think this series isn't for me.

If, and I repeat, IF, you are willing to not put money into the gacha system, you have a pretty decent Mario Kart game on your phone. Shame the tracks are being ported to switch and killing any reason this game had for existing...

Wait, Pauline sings as a character?

...Most of the reasons this game had for existing.

For a game titled Bad End Theater, it was actually a pretty sweet game. That said if you do want to play this game, be sure to separate the art from the artist, because of a...minor altercation, to say the least...

I can see why Nintendo put this series on ice.

I love the idea behind Demon Turf; taking over areas with platforming and bosses, and getting to go through the areas again with them now under your control. However, in practice, the return trips feel just about as fleshed out as Crash 4’s N-Verted levels, which isn’t very good. It just feels like doing the same level again only it’s a bit harder with harder enemies or harder platform gimmicks in place. Sure, sometimes there's a new segment or two, but it's mostly the same level again. This in turn renders half of the game to become bland and repetitive, which is a HUGE red flag, and given how unlike in Crash 4, where these repetitive levels were graceful enough to let you skip all the levels, Demon Turf requires you to get 50 batteries, the stars of this game, which can be found at the end of all levels, be it their first trip, AND return trip. There are only 56 batteries in the game, meaning 28 levels each of the first trip, and return trip. That means you have to go through all but 6 return trip levels, with said levels not really being that interesting in the first place. Balan Wonderworld was smart enough to let you get the statues in whatever order you want to, and only required 110 out of the 228 statues. Balan Wonderworld had more common sense than Demon Turf, and half of the costumes didn’t have a jump button.

Update: Actually beaten it. I'm already forgetting everything that happened in it. Combat is atrociously dull, the ball-pulling games are a pain in the ass, and the level designs aren't that inspired. Did we play the same game, Nitrorad?

I didn't even care that much about the original TLOU; what the heck was I expecting?

This game has no right to slap as hard as it did. The tank battles are actually fun and in-depth; trying to look for and find every secret is satisfying, and each slime has its own personality. Being able to recruit the enemies by capturing them and sending them back to town is a fun idea, and well worth it. Really, the only bad thing I can think of is that the music could be more diverse and expansive. Actually, scratch that; the fact that none of the other games in this trilogy made it out of Japan is also bad.

If the graphics were a bit more stable and less pop in and stuttering occurred, I would have bumped it up to 4.5 stars.

Probably the peak of the 3D part of Sonic’s history.
