the worldview of GTAV is that the world's too cruel and terrible for even the possibility of goodness, and the only way to succeed is to embrace that and become the absolute worst person possible, but rest assured even that won't make you happy.

it makes my fuckin' skin crawl

I'd probably give this game 5 stars if not for the handful of openly homophobic scenes that both make me ashamed that I like any of it and also run directly counter to the story's themes of marginalized people rebelling against an oppressive hegemony. If I were writing a story about cool teens battling corrupt right wing politicians I would simply not be an unabashed bigot about it.

I don't really like Mario's or the Goombas' sprites in this game, they don't really do it for me. But I mean also it's Perfect so like. Whatever.

This isn't my favorite game ever, but it might be a perfect game? Everything from the music to the controls to the story to the level design all clicks together so beautifully. I honestly don't know what there is to criticize about this one.

Path of Pain is bullshit the rest of it kicks ass

This is probably my favorite souls game even though it is like 70% finished At Best. Kaathe is so cool that he makes up for the missing 30%.

Soundtrack and gameplay are GREAT

The whole like... vibe of the game feels a lot more tired and cringey these days though, and Hotline Miami 2 is SO bad that it kind of diminished my affection for the original.

It's Mario, fuck you. My first memory is being taught how to play this game, there is literally no meaningful criticism good or bad that can be made at this point in time about friggin' Super Mario Bros.

Okay this game bizarrely tried to deliberately sabotage high level smash play in a weird and I'd almost argue kind of petty way, but, counterpoint, I spent my entire senior year of high school in my friend's basement with 3 CRTs and Wiis hooked up and we all played this nonstop.
