Metroidvania's ranked

I like this genre.

Its systems are very different from most other Metroidvania's, kind of feels way more like a 'cinematic' Metroidvania. Doesn't really provide the same Metroidvania feeling as the rest of the genre. The gameplay is fun, the bosses are cool. I enjoy the story quite a lot.
NOW this is vania'ing. Iga knew what the fuck was up when he started doing this genre. So many weapons and the souls in the game oh boy. Grinding for them just make my brain go "yippee!!". Soma is hot.
Rogue-like with Metroidvania gameplay. Not really a exploration type game, but the gameplay rules.
Iga just went ahead and made Aria of Sorrow again. I think it has a little less drip but its still great.
Dandara is a Metroidvania where you can only jump, no walking around, and its fantastic. The gameplay can feel tight and pulsing as you jump to avoid attacks and get the proper timing on your attacks (You have to charge a little to shoot). It's setting is dope as hell and the music fits so well.
Solid ass game. Leaf is cool
I have my problems with this game. I find it too long for the genre, and the moveset is kind of eh. Its barely not what I want from this genre but the cool stuff keep it afloat.
The time stop in this game is very cool, feels good.
Another experiment in the genre; what if Pinball? It works for the most part, some platforming feels really frustrating cause you don't have full control, but there weren't a lot I got pigged at. The artstyle is good.
3D Metroivania. If you like science fiction short stories, this is the most I've felt that in a game.
Bare minimum good. I don't remember much but the weapons and powers are cool.
I gave it a 7 but I don't remember jack shit about this game, must have felt at a bare minimum "good"
I've played this a couple times, not my favourite but fine. Your weapons are orbs floating around you so you dont have to do any physical attack animations. One of the weapons are huge fists so you can just go "Ora ora ora".
Another fine one. The magic system is fun. Game is easy, not sure if its because you can get busted with the magic, or the enemies are just easy.

I couldn't beat this one without cheating, the bosses just got hard, I did like it enough to not drop it though.
I think I got close to the end but some platforming challenge pissed me off too much.
Kind of cool but I wasn't vibing with the more "dark souls-y" combat style.

Proceduraly generated, boring.

I never finished Iconoclasts myself but I was pretty decently in and remember it being pretty fun, I should get back to finishing it at some point

Though Blasphemous, Yoku, Momodora 4 and TLN have larger priorities
@curse yea I've played M4 before and it's sick, I love the atmosphere and story plus the pixel art direction is one of the strongest standouts in recent time, helped since rdien's made numerous entries by that point lol. It's also got cute witches and I am always beholdened to works that feature cute witches.
