Underrated and Overly Hated

Games I've come across that, whether they're actually all that great or not, I feel receive more negativity than they deserve.

Not that I'm eagerly anticipating their GAAS plans or anything, but God of War Ascension always comes to mind whenever I think of what an overcorrection Sony's focus on singleplayer games for the past couple of generations has been (so far). The "tacked on" multiplayer of every first party PS3 game which had it was invariably the best part of it and while I understand why it happens, I think it's such a shame that it's almost always axed from remasters or remakes. I'd have bought the Uncharted trilogy remaster in a heartbeat if it included 2's multiplayer.

It's way too acclaimed and successful to reasonably lump it in with any of these, but I also couldn't help but think of Fallout 3 when I saw the title. I've warmed up to it a fair bit over time out of some weird kind of reverse-contrarianism from seeing it dragged through the mud so much since its release, usually in favour of another game which shares a good ~90% of the same problems and which is otherwise so similar to it that at least one of its devs has described it as more like an elaborate expansion for 3 than its own thing.
