one of the most enjoyable games in the series. despite its graphical hiccups, i found a lot to enjoy between the compelling story and the generally great new set of pokemon. genius move to make the legendary so involved with the gameplay and narrative i think miraidon might be tied with lunala for my favorite legendary. would be a infinitely easier to recommend if it didn’t look and play like that.
I've never played a paper mario game before in my life but man i loved this game. it gave me kinda what i was missing after mario & luigi games stopped existing, even if the combat could be a bit whatever at times. loved the writing, the boss fights and especially the music. kinda was just a real fun adventure game.

i wish the time travel was a bit more intuitive. felt like a bit of a hassle to finally get enough speed and the process felt a bit tedious overall. also the bosses were mostly lame. aside from those, i genuinely really loved the aesthetics and especially the soundtrack. the soundtrack has no right being this good. might be my favorite sonic ost.

probably the best sense of exploration ive ever felt from any video game. traveling through hyrule and discovering things like eventide island, the dragons, etc. filled me with so much joy i could not drop this game from the moment i started it to the moment credits rolled. truthfully if i could choose one video game to wipe from my memory and play blind again, this would be an incredibly strong contender. can not wait for the sequel.
