Probably the most fun i’ve had with Frontiers yet.

The Trial Towers are challenging yet satisfying to scale, the extra characters are generally pretty fun to play (barring some weird delay on a few of their moves), and it gives Frontiers the final boss it deserved.

Props to the cyberspace stages here. I wasn't fond of them much in the main game, but they felt far more well designed and interesting here.

The final boss itself felt a bit obtuse, but once I figured out how to beat it, I was on cloud 9. The music that accompanies the fight is a strong contender for best music track in the series too.

Sonic has never been cooler than this.

I've never played a paper mario game before in my life but man i loved this game. it gave me kinda what i was missing after mario & luigi games stopped existing, even if the combat could be a bit whatever at times. loved the writing, the boss fights and especially the music. kinda was just a real fun adventure game.

okay i didn’t like this at first but after playing as garnet for a few hours i see the vision

i adore this game both for its narrative and for what it represents, but man some of the gameplay had me so frustrated.

i wish the time travel was a bit more intuitive. felt like a bit of a hassle to finally get enough speed and the process felt a bit tedious overall. also the bosses were mostly lame. aside from those, i genuinely really loved the aesthetics and especially the soundtrack. the soundtrack has no right being this good. might be my favorite sonic ost.

short and sweet. interesting to see how the series plays without the copy abilities.

This game was so fun I wish Italians were real.

"sleeping at the wheel" the sonic game

Everything about this game just clicked so well for me; fantastically written characters reflecting upon their own morality, engaging side quests that often intersect with one another, well-crafted dungeons, and one of the most effective and unique gameplay mechanics i've ever experienced.

the feelings of dread that envelope termina during those final few hours are as haunting as they are melancholy.

grabbed every mask throughout my quest, with the payoff of fierce deity link being that final cherry on top.

pretty cute game but after about the midway point i had to play the rest of the game muted because the soundtrack was giving me a splitting headache

The more i think about it the more i hate it

not sure if i could ever quite articulate just how much i love this game.

if i had to choose any game to wipe from my memory and play for the first time again it would likely be this one. theres something so captivating about exploring hallownest, a ruined kingdom where you are given enough breadcrumbs to piece together where to go and what happened to the kingdom in the past. I love discovering every secret Hallownest had to offer, while listening to the incredible soundtrack that paired well with every environment (my favorite environmental tracks were probably from the queen’s garden or the soul sanctum).

boss fights are the highlight, with each boss offering a ton of challenge while not being impossible to overcome. it feels incredibly satisfying to memorize boss patterns and perfect your charm set until you finally succeed. nightmare king grimm in particular took me a ton of tries to accomplish, but it was easily my favorite fight in the game.

truthfully i believe this is my favorite game of all time. i played it for the first time at just the right point in my life, and its left a lasting impact on me every since. team cherry achieved something great here, and i am very much excited to see how far they can take Silksong.
