You could also make the argument that Monster Hunter: Rise counts. Some monsters are pretty explicitly dinosaurs, and a big mechanic of Rise is Wyvern Riding where you temporarily take control of a monster and use them to fight other monsters. It is brief, but you are "controlling" a dinosaur.

While that could count, I preferably want to include games in which you ARE the Dinosaur, rather than simply riding or commanding them, that's why I excluded the first Super Mario World, for example.

Not sure if it counts as it is just a small portion of the game, but in Mario Oddysee you can take control of a T-Rex.

I have no idea how I forgot about that one, Mario Odyssey is one of my favourite games. And yeah, I think it would count, after all you technically become and paly as the dinosaur, so it goes in.

Last suggestion I have is Live A Live. Though the context for it is a spoiler, you can choose to play as an enormous, evil dinosaur for one battle. (If unfamiliar, the game is a turn-base RPG)

I do know the game, I begun the game a year ago but stopped playing. I do think which dino are you talking about, and now I'm extremely intrigued to see how it would play out... now I might return to it to discover it! Thank you for the suggestions :D ! This list getting me to contemplate playing a game made for 5 year olds (gigantosaurus) also Dino Run DX is a nice game where you play as a hungry dinosaur outrunning the asteroid impact if you want anything else to add… also Yoshi’s Topsy Turvy because it was the only yoshi game besides story I grew up with so my life decisions need to feel justified

I didn't even know that game had multiplayer, I imagine that could be fun and hilarious as hell... Tho honestly I've never heard great thing about Evolution, so who knows if they got that right XD.

About Red Earth. Hauzer is not playable in it but is playable in Capcom Fighting Evolution.

You can play as a dinosaur in deathmatches in Conker's Bad Fur Day.

@MobileSpider I knew there was a Jurassic Park game where you play as velociraptor, I think I saw it in a AVGN episode and I just couldn't remember the name or version, thank you so much! Also I had no idea that Gon had games, I might get around playing those, and I'll also correct the mistake and change Red Earth for CFE.
@Vee There are much more dinos in fighting games that I remembered, I'll be sure to add them on as soon as I can, thank you :) ! Also, I already added a The Land before Time, and because there are so many, I'm doing the same thing as with the Smash bros games and because there are so many, that one entry also counts all of the other games.

I admit I was a bit torn on adding the Godzilla games since it was a bit on the air if it's a dinosaur, tho there's Yoshi all over the list and it's not based in any particular dino so I might as well... I also don't know how I forgot about Bubble Bobble, thank you for the reminder! I'll add them all as soon as I add the rest.

If you're adding Godzilla to the list I suppose you could add Rampage too. Lizzie is some sort of mutated lizard.

@Corrugated_Fox Funny thing is, I checked the wiki page about the character because I didn't know anything about the character, an turns out, apparently one game confirms it's a dinosaur, so yeah, it actually there's little debate to add Rampage to the list, I'll do it right now. Thank you!

Great list! I haven't thought about Primal Rage in... man I don't know how long lol. I don't know if it counts, but in World of Warcraft which is approximately a ten million hour game, there is at least one roughly 5 minute quest where you play as a dinosaur.

I mean you could add ARK : Survival of the Fittest. You can control the Dinos via "Commander Mode"(RTS style) or directly possess individual Dinos and other Creatures within your arsenal.

@SkeletonGrimm67 I've tried to not include RTS games with dinos since you can't directly control the dinos, but if in that game it lets you to posses and play as them, it's going in for sure. Thank you for the suggestion :)!
