It's Crimzon Clover again so I was onboard from the get-go. Arrange mode is a nice little addition, the cherry on top.
Have been playing on and off since 201X but this year marked my earnest foray into 1CCing STG. I love the mechanics, the aesthetic, the music, the scoring. So satisfying.
Surprisingly, even in my march to 100%, I never got bored or tired of marching across America. Though some decry the late game's ziplines for trivialising some climbs, getting to the point where you set up a zipline and maintaining that network is intensely satisfying. And the DualSense support!! Magnificent!
Started this up as my first foray into the X68000 and fell in love instantly. It is so rough around the edges that I couldn't recommend it to most, and parts of it aggravate the hell out of me, but this is a technical marvel, pure and simple. Loved it enough to get a CiB copy shipped over from Japan. Also presented an opportunity to work with Shmuplations as I've been researching more about this monumental game that gets no recognition in the West.
Pure fun through and through. I loved every second.
Adorable and the one of only two golf games my golf hating boyfriend has ever liked. When you're even cheering for your opponents, you know you've struck gold.
Picked this up not because of Backloggd praise, but because I heard some of Hiroshi Okubo's tracks in a DJ mix. I want the aesthetics to subsume my DNA.
Playing this on Nintendo Switch Online was dreadful. Playing with an actual N64 pad? Bliss, mechanical perfection. Zamn!
Not since Kingdom Hearts have I been so genuinely touched by something so painfully earnest. Immaculate.
It's arguably better than SA1 in every way but it doesn't have the adventure field. So much of game though!
We are not worthy.
That combat sequence blows chunks but oooh the aesthetic oooh the vibes.
It's cute! I don't really care about the story but taking pictures of animals? J'adore.
Another perfect length Treasure treasure. The DC version is unmitigated fun.
It's good and I got 21st in the world
HOT DAMN I love chore-centric games and this was a delight. More games need to focus on the parts of sports/real world activities that are generally omitted from their digital counterparts.
I don't even remember playing this but it must've kicked ass
Holy shit they made Bust-a-Groove kick ass. The genre switches are dope and I love the idea of balancing your team's participation while still chasing score.

Nobody on Earth will ever believe me when I say this is a superb game. But it's okay, because I believe me.
HOLY DAMN
Broke in my soft-modded PS2 with this and it was a treat.
It's no Picross but dammit, it stands on its own.
By far the most unique tower defence I've ever played, I love the interplay between the towers and the cursor, and the faux-rivalry aspects it brings to the table. Plot is batshit and magnificent.
Perfect amuse-bouche. Played before they updated it at all and added lore or whatever and I'm glad for it. I don't need to know its particulars.
Good! I don't want to play anymore though because I don't care about the story I just want to get cool runs going.
Fuck me this is a long one but it's a technical feat and fun (even if it overstays its welcome near the end).
Simple but elegant.
ON THE GWEEN
Calum Bowen my beloved.
Oh also the game is cute and fun.

HOLY SHIT
The switch to a sim-style of racing is almost entirely to its detriment but the soundtrack might be my favourite of any Ridge Racer and that is enough.
I can't fuckin' believe people don't like this game. Richard Jacques' Saturn OST is a dream. So gotdamn fun.
What a goddamn phenom. Richard Jacques strikes it out of the park, we get Saturn Sonic models, and it plays great once you figure it out. The idea of an exploratory racer tugs at my heartstrings.

Only played it because of Soichi Terada's involvement but va va voom, I mean hubba hubba
Perfect for semi-casual play thanks to its kinda busted mechanics. A pastel feast.
FUCK YEAH WINDJAMMERS

Adored the characters more than any other Yakuza, and I love the focus on Japan's sex industry.

All my homies love Zonk and his ability to fire car adapters.
Hamm my beloved.
Surprisingly fun even if you do have to see Chibipatra's toes constantly.
