I really gotta finish this up, it's ok. First thing I noticed when playing this game was that they got the MMX4 composer to work on this game, it's quite nice.

No score yet, steam reviews are pretty accurate from the 2 hours I've played meaning the music is nice, quite nice at that. The general exploration and combat is serviceable, nothing great. Even if this game ends up being nothing particularly great I'll probably still give it a 6 for the music alone.

Shallow button-mashing nonsense. I can only see this being fun if you easily fall prey to your own nostalgia.

Not fun on normal difficulty, not fun on a harder difficulty.

It really is just RE4 VR.

Overall the game's quite easier from the fact that you directly are the one handling the reloading, knife slashing, and aiming. If you have played vr shooters before and are fast with the hand movements involved with that, you can always reload just in time to land a stagger shot, slash quick enough to kill a ganado before they get back up, or pull off a snap shot on a ganado that's snuck up on you.
It's much easier to avoid damage in this game especially with the fact that you aren't tied to the tank controls anymore, although you can enable something similar to that old control scheme if you'd like.

I have a small gripe with the item management where due to the way you grab items and they automatically get put into your inventory, you can't do on the fly inventory management when your shits all full up. You can't pick up an herb and combine it when the game puts you into the inventory screen anymore cause in this it just plays a noise and says "inventory full". Slightly annoying but nothing big.

A big thing is the fact that they took out the extra game modes. Now I didn't really care for Assignment:Ada and tbh I don't know many people who did, but did they really have to take out Separate Ways and Mercenaries? That's just corny. At least mercenaries would've been nice to give some extra shit to do aside from just replaying the main game.

The camera does shift perspective when doing some actions and that's to appease the stomachlets who got into vr but it doesn't really bother me too much, although it would be cool to shake off a ganado that's right in your face.

I don't care about the minor censorship considering this is my 7th playthrough of RE4 and I just skip every cutscene so it's not like I'd notice the censorship if I were never told about it.

Overall, it's nice. It's competently made in the sense that it's just RE4's main campaign in VR. They could've done more with this but what we have is pretty damn good. I'll definitely do a Professional run of this whenever I'm done with the main game.

Krauser is even easier to fight now

Well they added Mercenaries, costume special 2, the handcannon, and the tommy so that's cool. The scoring for mercenaries is a bit different but that's a nonissue. They also added a bunch of gimmick challenges which aren't too difficult and can be pretty enjoyable. Still no Separate Ways though and its probably not coming, whatever.

I think one of the best things about getting my Quest 2 back from my brother is being able to play a bunch of mobile games while I wait for RE4VR. Mobile games in the sense that they are bargain bin garbage and mobile games in another sense where they are shitty ports of games on pc.

Anyway, this free to play game on the Quest 2 is bad. Who would have ever guessed?

Normally I'd really put in the effort to say just how bad it is but who the hell is looking at a review for a bad mobile vr game?

It sucks in every way possible. Playable? Sure. Enjoyable? Hell, maybe if you're in middle school. Maybe.
Although I did see some grown ass men playing this in one of the lobbies I hopped in and they were having a grand old time attacking each other with weak, unsatisfying, janky knives. I guess if you don't get to play games often or only play the most cookie cutter of games, then it's possible for someone to have fun with this.

To sum this game up, hey if you're the developer and you made this for a college project or something. You did good enough. Not good, but good enough.
If you made this game because you legitimately want to develop games as a career. Try harder, much harder.

You made your company 2 years ago and this is what you came up with? God bless, you really need it man

At least with the Quest 2 I got that fishing game I bought forever ago on the Rift S I don't feel like pulling back out. Other than that, its just the same shit I've already been playing.

I WOULD ONLY EVER RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET A QUEST 2 IF YOU HAVE A GOOD COMPUTER. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH 95% OF THE GARBAGE ON THE OCULUS STOREFRONT

The Sacred Heart Hospital... he's going there... and then he'll be there...

I'd put my buddy Griff and I's banlogs here but there are too many funny words and I don't want to get jannied

Definitely not perfect but it's still pretty damn good.

I'm not really sure how I should really describe the story and how it compares to the first game's but I still very much liked the story here. The slight continuity that LJ and Yakuza share were nice little nods that just kinda say, "yea that shit in Yakuza 7 happened."

When it comes to gameplay it's also mostly all improved either by quite a bit or just marginally. It's nice to see that they got rid of the consistent 95% speed that just happens in Judgment's combat while also improving the combat a decent bit. Don't worry about rushing to put thousands of skill points into combo speed upgrades as they don't exist anymore. The base combo speed is already solid. Crane actually feels like a decent style to use now and I think that's all I need to say about combat. Snake style was cool but I didnt really bother with it too much besides parrying so I could get the anti-knockdown buff.

The game doesn't have too many side cases with only 42 of them but instead you get the school story shit with it's own overarching plot. The school story stuff was decent but most of the minigames tied to them were whatever. They were a decent little distraction and a nice way to make a bunch of sp over time. I think had I not done the school story stuff, I wouldn't have at least a 3rd of the skills that I unlocked.

Still has some of that minigame reuse but the tailing doesn't last nearly as long and none of them are anywhere near as bad as tailing Higashi close to the end of Judgment, chase sequences are also slightly less jank. The stealth minigame was boring as shit and the less said about that the better. The faux-Uncharted climbing sections also weren't as bad as I was expecting, they're typically only a minute or two long and there aren't too many of them, you'd think they get progressively longer considering 3 of the upgrades are for increasing your grip meter but Im sure that shit was probably put in for people who are physically disabled and actually need a bit more time to do inputs.

Overall a nice improvement over Judgment.

I just finished this game so it's not really a review and moreso just my thoughts coming off of it. This is probably gonna read pretty disjointed as my thoughts are just bouncing around.

Beat it in about 13 hours although I did start to rush a bit for the last few hours. I wouldn't say it's worth the 60 bucks but if you can get it on discount for sub-$40 later down the line(which you definitely can cause Arkane games always go on sale) then give it a go. Also Arkane game so expect some of that eurojank.

Generally alright:
Gunplay was serviceable but not really anything great, at least they made the pump shotty and what was essentially an elephant gun satisfying to use.
I enjoyed seeing that the trinkets actually ended up being pretty straightforward with most of them actually being useful upgrades, there were maybe only 6-7 trinkets(counting both player and weapon trinkets) that I had never considered using. The weapon modifiers were also good too, I actually ended up almost never using the special guns cause I found guns with modifiers that were actually useful(suppressed smg, pump shotty shoots twice before needing a pump)
I didnt actually utilize half the abilities given and just teleported around but it was nice to see that you could freely use those abilities without worry of having to play more conservatively for the sake of maintaining power considering the energy for them regenerates without need of consumables.
This is one of those games that gives you a real nice sense of growing power that isn't an rpg.

Things Im iffy on:
The fact that this is an immersive sim works well with the timeloop stuff but its pretty obvious that the game ends up really only giving you one true solution by the end of game. It keeps it cohesive but ultimately repetitive and I can't see this game having much replayability besides playing the ending quest again to see the other endings.
The visionaries also end up being just a bit more than the average grunt with how it might take an extra point blank shotgun blast to off them and sometimes they have a special ability.
The dialogue can come off as pretty reddit depending on who you're talking to but I didn't really mind it and just chalked it up to the largely facetious tone the game has.

I wouldn't say I'm disappointed with this game like I've been with some other game releases I've played the past few years but I do wish there was just a bit more. I was loving it, until I got to the ending. It felt a little rushed and while I enjoyed the cheeky tone the ending I got had, I just feel that my time with the game was a tad too short. I beat the game practically the same day I got it, I can really only say that for resident evil games and those are actually meant to be replayed. Also if I didn't have work today I would've beat it on the 14th, I was really only like 20 minutes off from being able to say I beat it the exact same day.

I will say that the game's length helps with the rather repetitive nature of the game as it doesn't really feel like you're wasting too much time considering the game is less than 20 hours long.

Anyway, flawed but definitely enjoyable

Didn't really get the performance issues that other people got although I didnt touch raytracing cause fuck that dumb meme. Only real performance thing I have to note is that the game occasionally has that Far Cry 5 effect where you'll have 70-90 fps but it still kinda feels like 60ish. If you played FC5 on pc with decent enough specs you might know what Im talking about.

Afterword: If you actually are reading this at the time of writing I just realized I forgot to talk about the mp but Imma go out for a cig before I start writing that.

Anyway, the invasion shit was just ok. Seemed like an afterthought/last-minute gimmick they added so they could give the game a bit more of an identity as its own thing but I ended up playing single-player/friends only so I dont have to deal with that bullshit. The invasion thing just boils down to who can magdump or juke each other out better and by juke I mean be a Goddamned nuisance to the other player by blinking, strafe dodging, or double jumping all other the place. P2P connection so have fun rubberbanding cause you connected to some sorry bastard who probably took more than 7-8 hours installing a 30 gig game cause they live in Columbia, Missouri or anywhere else where you can't actually get good wifi.

The invasion mechanic is honestly more fun functioning as some ghetto ass coop where you connect to your buddy for a single segment of their loop and help them take out a target or potentially 2/3 and then let them kill you so they can get the extra 10k residuum and whatever gun/slab you were using.

Don't expect explanations for anything and I don't mean that in the "le quirky suda51 production" nonsense you'll see. Don't look for anything profound. I guess after playing TSA I expected more in the way of storytelling.

Can't really say that I'd want to go for 100% completion with this game but I might check gamefaqs in a month or so and clean up the collectibles.

9/3 - Well I got all collectibles and yea that's all there is to it. No special unlock, just a whole lot of shirts that you probably won't ever use cause chances are you're already wearing the one you think looks best and if not your favorite its probably cause you were mashing A to get through the prompts causing you to accidentally equip the last shirt you unlocked. I still enjoy the game for what it is but it's horribly shallow and the overworld really is just dull. Even if you spruce up the overworld with nicer visuals it's still would look just as dull cause what the hell is there to do there besides going to marked spots. It's not like there are many unique sites to bask in the view of.

If you can even consider the open world to be a playground then let me equate it to this. You are going to a playground at an odd time of day so there's not much for you to do with anybody besides attempt to make your own fun and making your own fun here is going down a list and doing the things that you haven't yet. Except the things you haven't done, you kind of already have far too many times over.

Having the best combat in an NMH game is a nice feat that gets horribly bogged down by the evergrowing tankiness of enemies thereby damn near negating any damage upgrades you got. I spent 27 minutes on a 15 wave defense mission and somehow that was still a B rank.

Closer to a 7 than an 8, might change later. Scratch that Im just changing it now. Cleaning up defense missions and the collectibles made me change this down to a 6

Havent touched anything aside from the MP but you should really just keep playing BF1

I don't feel like writing a review for it on google maps so I'll write my quick rundown on Mr.Beast Burger here because I figure, "hey I just had a pretty dull meal so lets talk about it on the page for a pretty dull game".

First off the plus: The presentation was alright with the stylized box giving a nice little flair to it separating it from a standard burger joint where you just have a labeled wrapper or box, although since I ordered a fat bastard meal through Ubereats I got an almost entirely unmarked brown bag with generic brown tape enclosing it, sure it's a relatively recent chain but you'd think they would have that kind of branded bagging and shit by now.
This is also probably the first time I have ever grabbed a burger and not have had my hand covered in grease immediately after getting a hold of it, that's as far as my compliment for that goes.
The fries were crispy and I quite like crinkle cut fries so that was nice.
Any praise stops here

The buns are thick and dense. I also said earlier that the burgers aren't covered in oil so they end up being pretty dry which doesn't help at all with the thickness of the buns.
Since the location near me doesn't have fountain soda yet, for the fat bastard meal I ordered I had one(1) 12oz canned Sprite to accompany it. So you get dry buns, a hefty chunk of fries, and not much liquid to scarf it down with.
Since these are smashpatties you don't really get much ground beef with the burger so I feel the majority of the caloric content of the burger ended up being the thickass buns. Also due to the fact that you don't get much in the way of actual meat, I don't see a real point in getting one of these burgers unless you really just like the taste of bread. The condiments on the burger were ketchup, mustard, and mayo which sounds nice when you're 12 in the lunch cafeteria and you see the sauces and think Imma make me some sloppa. The sauces and the bread end up almost overpowering any flavor the beef would've had with the most prominent flavor on my mind being, "wow mustard is not great on a burger."
You can't ask too much from a generic shitty e-celeb branded burger joint but the fries seemed like they just dumped the seasoning in the container on top of the fries leading to a mediocre distribution of seasoning so you get the occasional fry thats just quite a bit saltier than the rest.
The chicken sandwich or whats actually labeled the "Crispy Chicken Tender Sandwich" is just lazy. I actually missed that it was a chicken tender sandwich cause I was just fixing to eat like a fat cunt since the last thing I ate was a pot of ramen at 9-9:30AM so I hastily added it to my cart to max out on the potential discount of the 50% off I was offered by Ubereats. Like the burger, dry, except its chicken so its even more fucking dry. Its also just chicken tenders so yea the mayo, lettuce, and pickles are nice but its uh, not really much else besides that. Just another bland, dry sandwich.

All in all, disappointing with a couple nice things that are quickly forgotten in the realization that you paid 20 US DOLLARS for a shitty burger combo meal. I could've gotten my food faster if I ordered from Shake Shack and I would've even gotten a shake too, a pretty damn nice shake at that.

I wish I only ever played it on pc cause this game is not fun at all to replay. I can't see myself ever completing my pc playthrough

Raid mode is aight but I fucking hate Moira so much. Obnoxious broad with half-assed development.
