full of interesting ideas but the process of actually playing half the levels feels like pulling your teeth out. giddy and whimsical yet somehow utterly miserable

a classic but some of the levels feel empty af and the camera is ass

masterpiece of interactive storytelling, blew my mind when it came out (i was 10)

genuinely amazing but some of those motion control shrines are awful man

very stupid dumb game. thoroughly enjoyed it

one of the only games i have 1000+ hours on

started out fun but eventually broke itself with balancing issues over time

underrated as hell, probably my favorite game soundtrack of all time

great game but the movement has always felt restricted and kind of clunky to me—great level design but it just doesn't feel as fun and smooth as its predecessors

enjoyable but it's basically just nsmb but in 3d

did more to revolutionize the mario series than 64 imo. some of the smoothest platforming i've ever played and it came out decades ago

some of the best dungeon design in the series but everything else is ass

a lot of people love this but i just didn't find it all that memorable, felt very generic
